February 2015 Beauty Box 5 Subscription Review
February 2015 Beauty Box 5

Lots of subscription boxes arrived today include my February 2015 Beauty Box 5!

In case you aren’t familiar, Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that delivers a sample box of all things beauty. Each box contains 4 – 5 samples of a variety of makeup, skin care, fragrances and everything in between!  Boxes are $12/month if you do a month-to-month subscription, however, I subscribed a while back when they had a crazy deal that brought the cost of an annual subscription down to $6.58/month.

The Box

Beauty Box 5 ships via USPS and took just three days to arrive.  Some months it arrives super quickly and some months its not quite as quick.

First Look

I had no idea what was going to be in this month’s Beauty Box 5 so opening it was a complete surprise.  I wasn’t too thrilled with last month’s box, but this one was looking good.

The Information Card

The February 2015 Beauty Box 5 was all about celebrating their 3rd Birthday which is this February.  Here is what the box included:

~Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow (Vanilla Frosting) ($22): I actually smelled this to see if it smelled like frosting.  It does not.  However, it’s still a fun shimmery shadow with just a little sparkle.  It’d be nice layered on top of a darker shade.

~Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel (Velvet Rope) ($3.99): Ohh, I love this color!  I think there was an assortment of colors sent out, but I am very happy with my red.

~Absolute New York Absolute Love Lip Balm ($2.50): I received a different flavor of this in an ipsy bag once and I have actually bought a few of these sets at TJMaxx. They are very fun and smell so good.

~Avon Big Color Eye Pencil ($3.49): From the sounds of it on the Avon site, this was discontinued a few months ago.  That not necessarily a bad thing and I know other boxes will sometimes include a discontinued item.  However, you want to make sure you don’t like it too much because you aren’t going to be able to get it again.

~GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment ($6.46): I LOVE GlamGlow and even though this will only get me one use (maybe two if I use it very sparingly, I am thrilled with it.  GlamGlow is awesome.

All totaled I came up with a value of $38.44 for the February 2015 Beauty Box 5. I liked this month’s box way better than last month’s and will use everything in it.  The box also included a $20 gift card to yourMinerals, but I can’t find mine to tell you the details on the fine print.  I don’t recall ever seeing it, so it’s possible mine didn’t have one?  It’s not a big deal though because I probably wouldn’t have used it anyway.

Do you subscribe to Beauty Box 5?  What’d you get in your box this month?  If you are interested in subscribing or want to check out more, click here.  New subscribers can use the coupon code “FREEBOX1” (I am pretty sure this still works) to get a box from a previous month free with a new subscription order.
