CandiGirlBox March 2015 Subscription Box

CandiGirlBox is a quarterly box designed for girls aged 5-12. Boxes are customized by by theme “Sport or Tomboy”, “Girly” or “Bookworm” and are curated based on the questionnaire you complete when you subscribe.

The Box

CandiGirlBox ships via USPS each quarter. Boxes ship in March, June, September and December.

First Look

CandiGirlBox is a quarterly box so it makes you anticipate it just a little bit more.  I received it on Saturday and was so excited to open it up.

The Information Card

The March 2015 CandiGirlBox was dedicated to Leah Still and featured information on where to pre-order a copy of “I Am Leah Strong” written by Leah & Devon Still.

~Discovery Girls ($4.95): I’d call Discovery Girls a tween magazine.  I can’t recall their being a magazine out like this when I was younger, but I would have read it if they had one.  All I remember was BOP! and Teen Beat!

~Insta Ink Temporary Tattoos ($3.98): These tattoos are so in right now.  And it seems like the trend spans across a bunch of difference age groups. I know I would have worn these when I was a tween and probably in my early 20’s as well.

~Forever 21 Detangler Brush ($2.90): Detangler brushes are awesome!  I have one from a PopSugar box that I love and think they are a must have for anyone with longer hair. No more painful tangles!

~DyeTies Handmade Hair Ties (~$12): Two of these are hair ties and the other is a headband.  I don’t think you can ever have enough hair ties. They get lost, they get icky, you just need a lot.

~Wet Seal Bracelets ($6.99): This set include 5 different bracelets which can be worn together, separate or you could use them to gift to friends.  These are age appropriate and super cute.

~Justice Floral Headband ($5.71): This headband is a pretty floral and is super stretchy so it won’t give you headaches when you wear it.  I don’t know if other people have this issue, but if I hear the wrong headband too long I get the worst headaches.  This is more of a fashion one than a hold every single hair in place one, so it’s not super tight and wouldn’t cause that.

~Love & Beauty Stand Up Mirror ($1.90): I was going to take a picture of the mirror standing up, you then you couldn’t see the pretty print on the outside.  The top flips open and it stands on it’s own so you can easily travel with it, leave it in your locker, put it on your dresser, etc.

~Frozen Nail Dots ($3): SO cute!  What little girl wouldn’t go crazy for these?  I know I love them.

~Hot Topic Grape Lip Balm ($2.80): By far my favorite item in the box is this grape lip balm.  It smells amazing and the container is really neat.

~TeeHee Leg Warmers ($15): I should have saved all my old leg warmers.  Oh how I loved those.  I love that they made a comeback. I

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $59.23 for the March 2015 CandiGirlBox.  I loved this box and I think it’s a great one for girls.  CandiGirlBox does a great job of selecting items that are both age-approprate and fun to receive.  I think it’s the only quarterly box of its type so if you want to pick up a subscription for your daughter or niece, but don’t necessarily want to get it monthly this is your box!
