Citrus Lane Mystery Box Review
Citrus Lane Mystery Box

Citrus Lane has been offering Mystery Boxes on a somewhat regular basis lately so during their recently Flash sale, I picked one up.  I opted for a $22/box which included Melissa & Doug blocks.  I forget the age group this one was for but I know it was 2+ or 3+.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane is $29/month, but they always have great coupon codes that let you try them out very inexpensively!  And every once in a while they also offer Mystery Boxes in their shop.  Mystery Boxes range from $19 or $39 and promise to contain products worth double the cost of the box.  Items are typically repeats from their monthly boxes, but they are always a great deal.

First Look

This box was huge and packed full!  I am always very impressed with their Mystery Boxes and think they are an outstanding value.  Here is what my most recent box included:

~Melissa &; Doug Wooden ABC Blocks ($12.59): We love blocks around here.  All sizes, shapes, colors, etc!  These are fun because they are numbers and letters and have pictures on them.  WB has been playing with them a ton already.

~Bumkins Lunch Bag ($12.95): I have gotten a ton of these Bumkins lunch bags over the years with CL. I may end up garage sailing this because one can only use so many lunch bags.  They are great, but I would have been happy if it was even just in another print.

~Melissa & Doug Create-a-Craft (Car) ($4.99): You can never go wrong with one of these kits.  Our cars never end up rolling perfectly, but they look good (at least we think so) and the boys love painting and decorating them.

~Creativity for Kids Fun Things to Color ($7.99): Super cute!  I am putting this in one of our quiet time boxes.  This is more for WB’s age group, but L will love the markers and just some plain paper.

~Hello Book from Hello Hanna ($9.95): We just got this book in our June monthly box (in both CL boxes I get actually) and here it is again.  I expected repeats and these are cool, so I will just put it away for a while.

~Green Toys Build-a-Sandwich (~$8): WB loves making sandwiches!  He is always bringing me a hamburger or sandwich or one of his other amazing creations.  Green Toys products area always high quality and I love getting them.

~ETA: Cool It Buddy Ice Pack ($3.99): I forgot about this one!  The box also included a Penguin Ice-Pack.  We have a few of these and I love them.  I even use them.

All totaled this Citrus Lane Mystery Box had a value of $56.47 $60.46.  That’s an awesome deal considering that I paid just $22 (plus $4.95) shipping for it. They actually have a fresh group of Mystery Boxes up on their site right now, so if you want to pick one up, you’re in luck!  But act fast because they do sell out and some have already sold out from their release this morning.

I was debating earlier whether to get the 3+ boys one or not, now it’s sold out! I’ll definitely grab one the next go round, it always upsets me how many more Girls mystery boxes they have than boys.

I keep imagining that CL must have a whole warehouse of those lunch bags. We have two here already too and I don’t get nearly as many boxes as you. C has been using one as a sleeping bag for one of his stuffed animals. LOL
