Hammock Pack May 2015 Subscription Box Review - "San Francisco"
Hammock Pack May 2015 Subscription Box – “San Francisco”

Hammock Pack is a monthly surprise pack filled with everything you need to take a much needed getaway without even leaving your home. Boxes are geared towards women and each month you will receive a pack filled with a mix of food, bath products, housewares, and accessories that you’d only find if you visited that month’s destination city.

The Box

Hammock Pack ships via USPS Priority Mail and USED to ship around the 25th of the month.  I just got the May box today (June 8th) which is super late for them.  I wish they’d better communicate delays of this nature because it’s been happening more frequently lately and I would love to know what’s up.

I had snuck a peek of the box on Instagram so I knew what I was opening up.  Still it’s always more fun to actually unbox everything.

The Information Card

The May 2015 Hammock Pack destination was San Francisco and included the following items:

~San Franola Granola (~$2): I am not a big fan of the cinnamon almond flavor, but I bet some of their other ones (like lemon zest) are fabulous.  I do like the individual serving size packets!

San Franola Granola

~CC Made Caramel Corn ($5): I really can’t say that I have ever had Rosemary and Cashew flavored popcorn before, but it’s not bad.  It’s not quite movie popcorn either, but it’s not bad.

~Heliotrope Body Wash ($16): This body wash has black walnut and aloe as ingredients and smells amazing.  It’s totally different than most body washes I have used and I like that.

Heliotrope Body Wash

~Etta & Billie Body Scrub (Ginger Orange) ($8.50): This was wrapped so nicely and then boxed up, but I undid it all for the picture.  I, at first, thought this was a lotion bar, but it’s really a body scrub. It has sea salt and ginger and made my hands feel great.  And what’s cool is that this bar stays together so you don’t waste any of it dropping it through your fingers,

All totaled I came up with a value of $31.50 for the May 2015 Hammock Pack.  That’s about where I expect to see them value size and I liked the contents in the box, so I am pleased. I just wish they would get back on track with their shipping or at least communicate better about the delays.

What do you think of Hammock Pack?  What city / state would you like to see them do next?
