I subscribed to this box after seeing the spoiler Prospurly released. This was my first ever box from them and was impressed by the first look.
The June 2015 Prospurly theme was “A Seaside Excursion” and included the following assortment of seasonally crafted & seaside-inspired goodies:
~Salt Works Wild Fire ($10.95): This seasoning is best for poultry, potatoes or pasta, but I suspect that you could use it on anything. B loves when we get fancy salts and loves cooking with them. Maybe we’ll bring this up-north for the weekend!
~Sea Grape Soaps Salt Kissed Hair Volumizer ($7.50): The information card says that this has a $15 value, but that is for the full size. The item included in the box was half of the full-size item. B likes trying sea salts and I love trying sea salt sprays! This one smells good (it’s made with pink sea salt and a touch of lavender) and really gave my hair some next texture.
~Meraki Botanicals Sugar & Salt Body Scrubs ($20): This wouldn’t have been my first choice of scents, but it’s growing on me. It’s natural, organic and made in small batches. I liked that it didn’t leave my skin feeling oily and instead just left it smooth and clean.
~Oak Street Soap Plumeria Bubble Bath Bar ($5.50): This smells so good! B will probably end up using it before I get to it though, so I need to remember to tell him to look for the “sea foam” glow. I guess the salt looks cool when it’s all opened up? Anyway, it’s a bubble bar, so you break / crumble off some of the bar and use it in the bathtub. You’ll get a great scent and lots of bubbles!
~Being Apothecary Still Bath Salts ($18): I really need to take more baths. This is very spa-like and smells good. It would make for a very relaxing soak.
~The Blue Octopus Seaside Inspired Candles ($8): Mermaid’s Kiss, the candle I received, is a vanilla orchid coconut milk scent. I love the smell and think this is a perfect addition to this box! For me, you can never go wrong by including a candle.
All totaled I came up with a value of $69.95 for the June 2015 Prospurly box. It was slightly less than the average value of $80 per box, but hopefully that just means that the next box will be an even better value!
