First Look
The Sack

SnackSack packages everything in a burlap sack – hence the name “SnackSack“.  I thought that was pretty cute!

The Information Card

The May 2015 SnackSack included the following items:

~Alpine Hazelnut Carob Cookies & Tropical Coconut Macadamia Cookie by Caveman Cookies (~$2): I like Caveman Cookies.  Way more than I thought I would when I first tried them as a matter of fact.  The consistency is very cookie like and the flavors work well together.

~Fresh Fruit Hard Candy by Torie & Howard (~$2): These are probably my favorite hard candies ever.  They are organic and they come in flavors like lemon & raspberry, blood orange & honey and pomegranate & nectarine.

~White Cheddar Clouds by Luke’s Organic (~$3): I packed these in L’s lunch one day (I received this box a few weeks ago) and he thought it was so cool to have a snack with his name on it!  I’ve had them before and he and I both agree that they are yummy.  And they don’t leave your fingers orange which is key.

~Hazelnut & Almond Coconut Spreads by Barefoot & Chocolate (~$2): I liked the Hazelnut spread better than the Almond Coconut, but they were both good on apples.

~Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Protein Bar and Creamy Peanut Butter Protein Bar by Raw Revolution (~$4): I was impressed by these!  The flavors were true and they didn’t have a funky aftertaste like some other bars do.

~Sea Salt Popcorn & Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn by Boom Chicka Pop (~$4): Boom Chicka Pop makes the best popcorn!  I like the plain old sea salt best, but I don’t think I have had a “bad” flavor from them.  They sea salt only has 35 calories per cup so it’s not going to kill your healthy eating either.

~Almond Blueberry Lemon Bites by Frontier Bites ($1): Frontier Bites are good, but not my favorite.  Replace the blueberries with dark chocolate though and now we’re talking.

~Sweet Chewy Gummy Bears by YumEarth Organics (~$1): The boys love these and they quickly disappeared from the pantry snack area!  I have two little bins set up in the pantry for snacks for just the boys.  If they say they need a snack and I saw yes, they go right in there (or to the one in the fridge) and can grab whatever what like.  It saves all the “there’s nothing to eat” or making me name off all ALL the snack options we have on hand everyday.

~Sea Salt & Nibs Chocolate Bar by Madecasse ($5.99): I loved these!  I like when chocolate has salt right on the top and this one does.  It was good.  Trust me.

~Sweet Flavored Snack Mix & Zesty Flavored Snack Mix by Sheffa ($2.50): I saved these for B for when he gets back into town.  I think they are better suited towards him.  I like the individual serving size though.  It’s SO easy to overeat with snacks like these and the calories add up fast.

~BBQ Protein Chips by Quest Nutrition ($2): I have had these somewhere before and they are pretty good.  You’d probably think they are even better if you liked BBQ more than I do though.

All totaled I came up with a value of about $24 for this box. I estimated a lot of the items though and my costs don’t include shipping so I probably underestimated it a bit.  I was pretty impressed with SnackSack.  They really do send tasty treats that don’t skimp on nutrition.
