Angels’ Cup is a fun new way to experience coffee. With the Cupping Flight you will receive a tasting flight with four different samples of coffee on a weekly/ bi-weekly or monthly basis. With their new Black Box subscription you will receive 4 larger coffee samples on the schedule of your choice. You can then head over to their App where you can add tasting notes about your samples and compare them with others.
Angels’ Cup ships via USPS on a weekly basis. They receive fresh shipments of coffee one day per week and then turn around and repackage and ship to customers. My box didn’t include an information card, but I was easily able to look up what coffees where included. I received the following items:
~Sample No. 142: Sample No. 142 is Ethiopia YirgacheffeZero from Coda Coffee. It’s flavors include florals, brown sugar, black tea, lemon, cinnamon and jackfruit. On the Angels’ Cup website, they have a great chart that rates the following: aftertaste, complexity, body, bitterness and sweetness. This one scored highest in complexity.
~Sample No. 143: Sample No. 143 is Colombian Monserrate from Coda Coffee. It also ranks high on the complexity scale, but has a lot of body as well. This coffee has flavors of red pepper, garlic, squash and coffee blossom. It described as having “winery” notes as well.
~Sample No. 140: Sample No. 140 is Rwanda Kabrizi from Mariposa Coffee. It has flavors of banana, mango, hibiscus, grape leaves and cocoa nibs. It’s a sweeter, complex and full-bodied coffee.
~Sample No. 141: Sample No. 141 is Brazil Fazenda from Mariposa Coffee. This is a full-bodied coffee with flavors of macadamia nut, toast, black currant, lychee and cocoa.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on Angels’ Cup, but if you love trying new coffees, I recommend checking this one out. They have a ton of different samples so chances are you will find one you love!
