The packaging was cute and I kind of giggled at the red polka dot tissue paper.

The Card

The Monthly Gift doesn’t include a detailed information card, but each of the items were tagged with the category they applied to.

~Relax – Bath Crystals: I *think* these are bath crystals!  I can’t find a label on them (I wish there was one though) and the consistency isn’t right to be a scrub so I am going with bath crystals.  I couldn’t really pick up a scent on these but maybe they start to smell good once they are in water?  I am not sure about this one!

Relax

~Pamper – Nail Polish & Nail File: This nail polish is awesome.  It’s called “Birthday Wish” and is a hot pink with big specks of glitter in it.  I use mainly 5-free polishes now so I am always a bit taken surprised when I smell other nail polishes, but I will use it!  And I will also get a ton of use out of the nail file.  I always need fresh ones.

~Enjoy: Yogi Teas: All time of the month boxes have tea in them.  It must be some sort of unwritten law. LOL!

~Indulge: Cupcake Bites: I am not exactly sure how these are made or how they stay fresh in a box, but I also don’t care because they are delicious. They are little cupcake flavored balls with frosting and sprinkles.  Just delicious!

~Laugh: Feed Me and tell Me I’m Pretty Magnet: I don’t know that I will hang this on my fridge, but I did laugh when I saw it which is the point!

~Supplies: I was rather surprised with the number of pads / tampons in here.  I received 7 tampons and 4 pads.  That’s certainly not going to be enough to get you through a cycle (is it?).  The site doesn’t make any promises on how many are included, but I thought (assumed) it would be more.

I think they missed the point of time of the month boxes. I thought the point was to make it convenient. With this you still have to go to the store and buy supplies. I would say that this is a total miss.

There’s also no way to customize the type of supplies you get. At least I couldn’t find a way to do so beyond picking between commercial brands and all natural brands. For that price I would expect the equivalent of a full size pack of tampons, and the sizes they included would be useless for me.

Hi Ramblings Of a Suburban Mom! Thank you so much for your review, we LOVE understanding our subscribers better! If you now check themonthlygiftbox.com you will see we have included detailed specifications on feminine product count included in each subscription box, in addition to the options to customize a mix of pads and tampons, or tampons-only (with the continued choice of organic vs commercial). Also! If you’d still like a subscription and these choices don’t quite fix your needs, drop us an email and we’d be happy to note your account to include your exact preferences! Thank you again!

Your comment about the unwritten law of tea in time of the month sub boxes cracked me up. I also realized that Bonjour Jolie has gotten away from tea the last two months. This month they sent out Margaritaville Singles To Go.

If they have changed up their product offerings so you can request all natural products (I, too, won’t use commercial tampons with rayon in them — it creeps me out) then I will be seriously considering this box. Those cupcakes bites look so tasty!!
