EggDrop is a new subscription box for kids who love Shopkins™, Kinder™ eggs, blind bags, blind boxes or any other type of surprise toy. Each box will contain six eggs filled with surprise toys.
EggDrop ships via USPS and takes just a few days to arrive.
When I first heard of this box I knew I had to subscribe. These kinds of “blind boxes” are something both of my boys love and, frankly, so do I. The element of surprise (even though I like check out spoilers) is one of the reason I so love subscription boxes.
EggDrop doesn’t include an information card, but there really isn’t much to explain about a box like this. Here is what the August box included:
~LEGO Minifigures – Series 12 ($3.99): Series 12 is actually now retired, but Lego’s never go out of style. I need to ask L if we have this one already, but something tells me we don’t. And even if we do, it’s not a big deal because L would just give it to WB to play with. He can actually put these little minifigs together on his own which blows my mind.
~Hello Kitty Series 2 Mega Bloks ($2.99): I love this little Hello Kitty we received! She’s got a cute little coffee cup and I think it will be a great addition to my desk.
~Radz Transformer Candy + Dispenser ($4.99): I didn’t know who this guy was off the bat, but a little research told me that it’s “Grimlock”. A Transformers candy dispenser? That’s an obviously hit for the boys.
~Littlest Pet Shop Fash’ems ($3.49): I actually don’t know much about Littlest Pet Shop, but I was still excited to see which one we received. This guy is soft and squishy and reminds me a bit of a stress toy.
~The Ugglys Pet Shop – Series 1 ($3.99): I was pretty excited when I saw this in the box. My boys look at them basically every time we go to the store, but we never buy them. It’s even better that there are two pets in here – one for each kid! I think they will end up in the dollhouse as new pets.
~Shopkins – Season 3 ($4.77): I don’t get the Shopkins trend so I am going to pass these on to a friend whose daughter loves them. I suspect it’s like L and Minecraft characters. They don’t do anything, but he collects them and displays them in his room.
All totaled I came up with a value of $24.22 for the August 2015 EggDrop. I was actually surprised (and pleased) that the value of this box was higher than the cost. The boys both love it so we’ll be sticking with this one for awhile.
