NewBeauty TestTube ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive. Boxes ship bi-monthly and generally arrive towards the beginning of the month (or at the end of the previous month like this month’s box).
As usual the NewBeauty TestTube was packaged in a tube! Everything actually fit in the tube this month so there was no items in a separate package or loose in the box.
I was actually planning on canceling this box, but I never got around to it. I was quite pleased that I hadn’t when I opened this one up.
NewBeauty TestTube includes a great information book with product information, prices, details on where to buy the products, etc. Here is what was included in the September 2015 shipment:
~Altchek MD Eye Gel Pads (2 Treatments ) ($4): These are a totally new product for me. They are said to reduce puffiness and help with fine lines and wrinkles. They helped with puffiness, but I thought they felt weird on. They are super sticky and it kind of felt like I had tape on my eyes.
~Dr. Brandt Skincare PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator (0.25oz / 7.5g) ($7.25): I love dr. brandt products and was excited to see this in here. I think it works fantastic and I will be buying the full-size. It’s scrubby, but not overly harsh and gets rid of the shine my skin has.
~GrandeNaturals Grande MiniLips (2.6mL) (~$10): This stuff is interesting. I actually did feel like it worked and I liked the clear gloss it leaves as well. It didn’t burn like some plumping glosses do, but I for sure felt some tingling. It goes away fast though. This is for sure cheaper than getting your lips done by a professional (trust me on this).
~L’Occitane En Provence Divine Cream (.2oz) ($12.70): This cream smells like flowers and works to reduce wrinkles, fights the signs of aging while leaving your skin nourished. I quickly tested it and thought it made my skin feel amazing. I obviously haven’t used it long enough to see if I look younger, but it made my skin feel great.
~DermaQuest Essential B5 Hydrating Serum (0.5oz / 14.8mL) ($35.50): This is another new to me product and I am a huge fan already. A little of this goes a long way and I was shocked by how amazing this left my skin feeling. It seemed to instantly perk it up!
~Bio-Oil (0.5 fl. oz.) ($2.02): I have been a big fan of Bio-Oil for a while now. I don’t use it on my face, but I do use it to help with scarring.
Bonus Editor Favorites (not listed on information card)
~donell Lip Saver (.15oz) ($7): I wouldn’t pay $7 for a tube of lip balm like this (maybe if it was some OMGamazing scent or special edition or something), but I will happily use it.
~It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Lite (59.1mL/2fl.oz.) ($7.19): This smells great! It also makes hair more manageable. It reduces snarles (is that a word) and protects against split-ends, color damage, etc.
~Macadamia Natiral Oil Flawless Cleansing Conditioner (3oz / 90ml) ($15): This is genius. I actually first received it in a May 2014 TestTube. It’s a 6-in-1 product so it pretty much does everything you can think of. It’s shampoo and conditioner, it reducing blow drying time, it detangles, reduces frizz and enhances volume. If you are packing for a trip and are trying to save space in your bag, bring this!
~PHYTOdefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm (15mL) ($4.04): This seems to be a balm to help make curly hair straight so I will pass it along to my cousins to try. My hair is beyond straight so this is not necessary for me.
~LUMENE Vitamin C+ Illuminating Anti-Age BB Cream (2ml / 0.07fl.oz.) ($0.62): No idea why I don’t have an individual picture of this, but the box also included a little packet of BB cream. It’s a one-time use item, but I liked it well enough.
All totaled I came up with a value of $105.32 for the September 2015 NewBeauty TestTube. After a few not so impressive tubes I was very happy with this one! As I mentioned before I am glad I ended up sticking with this one!
