SnackSack delivers better tasting, originality, and higher nutritional value, in the form of a subscription snack box, once a month. Boxes include a mixture of snacks that are organic or all-natural, non-GMO, vegan, fair-trade, or gluten-free.
SnackSack ships around the 15th of the month. If you sign up by the 1st of the month you will receive a box that month, otherwise your subscription will begin the following month.
SnackSack packages their snacks in a burlap sack. The snacks don’t always all fit though so you may find some of them loose on top of the sack.
The August 2015 SnackSack included the following items:
~Blueberry Pistachio This Bar Saves Lives: I haven’t tried this one yet, but they are all-natural, non-GMO, gluten free and kosher. In addition, for every bar you buy, a packet of life-saving food is given to a child in need so it really does save lives.
~Quinoa Puffs by I Heart Keenwah: These are a pretty good alternative to cheese balls. They are harder, but you can taste the cheese in them. They are certified gluten-free, kosher, vegan, soy-free and dairy-free as well.
~Solar Dried Mangos by Sol Simply: The favor on these is great, but the texture just isn’t for me. I like crunchier dried fruits and these are softer than I prefer.
~Apple + Pineapple That’s It Bars: This bar is made of 1 apple and 1/4 pineapple and that’s it (get it?). I have had these in the past and I like them. And I feel good about giving them to the kids which is always good.
~Apple Cinnamon Banana Bites by Barnana: Now, oddly enough I like these chewy bananas. I know I mentioned I didn’t like chewy dried fruit, but the texture is very different. These are almost brownie like.
~Veggie Medley Straws by Mediterranean Snacks: I was actually just talking to someone about these and she was telling me how she only eats certain colors of them because she doesn’t like the flavors of the others. I need to do a blind taste test of these to see if I can tell the difference because I don’t think I have noticed it in the past?
~Sour Cream & Onion Bops by Good Boy Organics: Okay, so no, these don’t taste quite as good as the other sour cream and onion chips out there. But these contain 65% less fat, are gluten-free, non-GMO and certified organic. I think the trade off is more than fair!
~Flavored Tortilla Chips by Cabo Chips: I have never heard of Cabo Chips before, but they are good. Really good. These had a little kick to them, but I enjoyed them and would love to try the other flavors they offer.
~Yummy Snack Pizza Chips by Yummy Health: If I tasted these without seeing the package I can’t say that I would have guessed they were pizza flavored. They were cheesy tasting for sure and I would so buy these again.
~Chia Bar by Health Warrior: Meh. I have received this in a few boxes and I am not a giant fan. They are okay, but I don’t know that I’d ever go out of my way to buy them.
~Hatch Green Chile by Chinook Seedery: I think I am going to pass this on to B to take to work. I think the heat on these would just be too much for me. Plus, I don’t like sunflower seeds in general so the flavor of these doesn’t even really matter.
~Citrus Splash Gummies by Tasty Brand: The boys love fruit snacks! They contain no GMOs, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or flavor so I don’t have to feel guilty about packing these in lunches or for a snack.
