Surprise My Pet September 2015 Subscription Box

Surprise My Pet is a variety monthly box of pet goodies your pets will absolutely love.  Each monthly box will include fun toys, tasty treats, a theme, other accersories + a doggie costume that matches the theme!  You can select from Tiny (<10lbs), Small (10-20lbs), Medium (20-50lbs) or Large (50+ lbs) to best fit the size of your dog.  I received a Small box to review.

The Box

Surprise My Pet ships on or around the 24th of each month via USPS.

First Look

This box didn’t contain an information card, but I wish it would have! I love information cards,  Regardless, my “Small” Surprise My Pet box contained the following items:

~Anit Nunchuks Dog Toy ($9): I have gotten a lot of dog toys in subscription boxes over the years, but I can’t say I have ever received nunchucks before.  So funny.  These are good tug of war toys for WB and Buddy.

~Spot Plush Football Toy (~$2.44): It’s football season so including this is basically a no-brainer!  We’ll all happily toss the ball around in the backyard with the dogs!  Now, if they will actually fetch it is another question, but we’ll try.

~100% Natural Dog Treats Roasted Beef Tips: These are 100% natural and are made in the United States from 100% beef lungs.  While that doesn’t really sound amazing, it is!  The dogs loved them.

~Etta Says 7″ Bully Stick (~$3): The dogs love getting bully sticks. They do more pushing each other around and “arguing” about who gets to run around holding it and growl at the other one than they do chewing on it, but as long as they are having fun, it’s fine.

~Jones Natural Chews Tender Taffy ($4.92): These look great and I love that they are made in the USA, but I am probably going to end up giving them to my brothers dogs.  My dogs really aren’t huge chewers, so his will appreciate them more.

~SmokeHouse Chick’ Stix ($5.21): These Made in the U.S.A. treats will be another one for my brothers dogs. According to the description they are basted with molasses and slow-roasted for a rich, deep flavor and can be broken into little pieces for training.

I couldn’t find prices on everything for this box, but I suspect that, all total, the value is somewhat close to the cost of the box.  Dog subscription boxes generally don’t have an incredible value unless you opt for one of the extended subscription plans, so that’s about what I would expect.
