Loot Crate October 2015 Subscription Box

Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box full of hand-picked, awesome geek and gamer products. Each month, for less than $20, you’ll receive 6-8 products which are guaranteed to have a value of $30 or more.

The Box

Loot Crate ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive.  You can expect to receive this box around the 20th of the month.

First Look

I peeked at spoilers for this one before my box arrived so opening it wasn’t too much of a surprise.  It was still fun though.

Inside the Book

The October 2015 Loot Crate theme was “Time” and was a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future (and the year that Marty McFly travels to in Back to the Future Part II), the timeless appeal of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and the timey-winey charm of Doctor Who.  Here is what was included:

~Exclusive Back to the Future Dr. Emmett Brown Vunyl Figure by Funko: Yesterday (10.21.15) was Back to the Future Day which seems crazy to think about.  I remember seeing the movie and thinking that 2015 seemed SO far off when they mentioned they were traveling there!  L ends up with all the POP! vinyl figures we receive and once he sees this movie (we almost went yesterday but it was sold out) I know he will want this one too.

~Exclusive Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure T-Shirt by Loot Crate Labs: Dude, does anyone not like this movie?  I know I do.  It’s stupid funny and will always make me laugh.

~Exclusive Back to the Future Part II Hoverboard Replica by Quatum Mechanix: I am actually surprise that hoverboards don’t exist yet. Well, I guess some do, but they aren’t everywhere or anything.  This is another L item and I suspect he will begin wondering why he doesn’t have a hoverboard soon.

~Exclusive Doctor Who Spork Utensil by 50/Fifty: I don’t know why, but this is WB’s new favorite item.  He’s already eaten a bowl of cereal with it and is on the hunt for more things he can use it for. He has no idea what Dr. Who is and has no idea about time traveling, but he knows a cool spork when he sees one.

All of the items in this box were Loot Crate exclusives so I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on it.  I thought it was such a fun box though and I love that they did all exclusive items this month!
