Yuzen Fall 2015 Subscription Box Review
Yuzen Fall 2015 Subscription Box

Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box but switched to quarterly a while back.  I like the quarterly format of this box better than monthly.

The Box

Yuzen ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just two business days to arrive.  I like that they use Priority Mail and I LOVE that they ship ahead of the season so you can get prepared. This one was a review box which I just received, but subscribers received this box at the end of August / beginning of September.

I say it every time I do a Yuzen review, but I am always impressed by the packaging on their boxes.  Everything is always so beautifully packaged with gorgeous prints and colors.

The Information Card

The Fall 2015 Yuzen box included the following items:

~Africa Organics Marcula Conditioner (200mL / 6.7fl.oz) ($12.50): This conditioner smells amazing and is a great mix of coconut and mint.  It’s cruelty-free, gluten-free and contains no GMO’s, parabens, petroleum, sulfates or other synthetic fragrances or colors.  It hydrates and smell goods!

Africa Organics Marcula Conditioner

~Cowgirl Extreme Antioxidant Serum (No Size Listed) (~$5): This serum is designed to defend against harmful free radicals that accelerate aging.  It contains no parabens, petroleum, sulfates or formaldehyde.  It soaked in my skin quickly and left it feeling very soft and smooth.  I can’t say I look younger, but it felt nice.

Cowgirl Extreme Antioxidant Serum

~Eco Lips Organic Lip Scrub (0.5oz) ($9.99): I actually just noticed that my lips were in need of a good scrub and then this appeared.  This smells good and I won’t lie, it tastes pretty good too.  I am sure you aren’t supposed to try it, but it happens.

Eco Lips Organic Lip Scrub

~GLEE Glum ($2): I will either end up giving this to B or to my mom.  I just don’t enjoy gum, although I do appreciate that this is sugar-free and made with all-natural ingredients.

GLEE Glum

~Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Body Wash (3 fl.oz) ($2.75): Wow, I am actually surprised that this is only worth $3!  It’s smells amazing (I love the Vetiver scent) and is made from only organic ingredients.  It’s also gluten-free, all-natural, cruelty-free, contains no GMO’s, parabens, petroleum, sulfates or synthetic fragrances or colors.

Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Body Wash

~Red Flower Lymphatic Phytopower Sea Cleanser and Mask (32.5mL) ($5.25): I actually just received this in my Allure Beauty Box this month and I love it.  I have been using it daily in the shower and have found it to be gentle and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I am thrilled to get more!

Red Flower Lymphatic Phytopower Sea Cleanser and Masque

~Red Flower Arctic Berry Cloud Milk Cream (50g) ($16.46):Red Flower products are USDA certified organic, gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan and contain no parabens, petroleum, sulfates or synthetic colors or fragrances.  This cream can be used on the face or the body, but I am going to just use it on my body.

Red Flower Arctic Berry Cloud Milk Cream

All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $53.95 for the Fall 2015 Yuzen box.  Not an amazing “value”, but I love the curation of Yuzen boxes and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one to anyone.  They have great customer service and always do a great job with their selections.
