The Theme / Tips
November Theme

The November 2015 Jade Canopy theme is “Bedtime” and includes the following items to help you put your garden to rest for winter along with some essential tips and words of wisdom:

~Let’s Build a Bird Feeder + Seeds: I was just thinking it was too bad we don’t have a tree to hang this in, but we actually do have one in the front yard!  The boys would LOVE it too. After we assemble this we will totally have to paint it too!  This isn’t a kid’s subscription box, but I know they would really be into this.

~Tequila Sunrise Bulbs + Organic Beets / Lettuce Seeds: I didn’t realize you could plant bulbs in the winter, but according to the information card(s) you can!  For some reason I thought you needed to do it in like September?  Now, the lettuce and beets need to wait (because I didn’t plant them in November when I should have), but we will certainly plant them in the Spring. Our garden last year was awful (I was in charge of it because B was traveling so much), but it’s going to be back to normal this year!

~Rose Candle + Grandma’s Grime Away Soap: The box also included an amazing “Grime Away” soap (how else are you going to get the dirt off your hands from the garden) and a rose candle.  I feel like this candle floats, but I am not 100% sure on that. I will be testing it though.

~November Planting Information: The box also included a list of items which could be planted in November.  I had NO IDEA that you could plant anything in November and am totally fascinated. I am going to save this and keep it for reference.

Planting

I didn’t do a code breakdown on this box, but I thought it was well curated and I don’t believe there is another box like this out there!
