SnackSack delivers better tasting, originality, and higher nutritional value, in the form of a subscription snack box, once a month. Boxes include a mixture of snacks that are organic or all-natural, non-GMO, vegan, fair-trade, or gluten-free.
SnackSack ships around the 15th of the month. If you sign up by the 1st of the month you will receive a box that month, otherwise your subscription will begin the following month.
SnackSack packages all of their items in a burlap sack each month. If the snacks don’t all fit, some will be on the outside.
The December 2015 SnackSack included the following items:
~Nibs Traditional & Mint Hot Chocolate: I love that so many subscription boxes have been including hot chocolate in them lately. This drinking chocolate is organic, ethically traded and fair trade certified. I will be cozying up with some later to watch more of Making a Murder.
~Dandies Vanilla Marshmallow: These marshmallows are non-GMO, vegan and super tasty! I like little marshmallows better than the larger ones and vanilla are better than “plain” ones.
~Righteously Raw Dark Cacao & Dark Mint Cacao: These bars contain only raw ingredients such as Organic Cacao Butter, Organic Cacao Powder, Organic Raw Agave, Organic Coconut Oil and Organic Vanilla Bean Powder. They are non-GMO, Gluten-Free, vegan and also soy and allergen free.
~Cosmo Creations Cheddar and Puffed Corn: These are like a cross between a cheese puff and popcorn. They are really good, but I wouldn’t be sadder if they were a little more cheesy.
~Beanitos Nacho Cheese Bean Chips: These remind me of Doritos. I mean, not exactly, but similar. Bean chips do not sound good to me, but they are actually super good.
~Big Slice Kettle Cooked Apples: The texture on these apples is too odd for me, but L has said he liked them.
~Dolcetto Chocolate and Lemon Wafer Bites: These are delicious! I can’t find one thing wrong with them. They are crunchy and flakey and both the lemon and chocolate fillings are awesome.
~Artisan Tropics Plantain Strips: Plantain Strips are vegan, certified paleo and won’t be replacing chips, but I didn’t hate them.
~Snack Out Loud Crunchy Beans: I am not too into these. They are lightly roasted beans and are non-GMO, gluten-free and made with 100% wind power. I didn’t think they had enough flavor I guess?
~Snacks 101 Smokey BBQ Popcorn: Snacks 101 makes the first baked popcorn. I couldn’t taste too much of a difference between this and traditional popcorn, but I did like it. I have been really into popcorn lately so I will take of all it I can get.
~TruJoy Peppermint Choco Chews: These are a little harder than a tootsie roll, but still delicious. I wouldn’t be sad if these got to be more mainstream, I would but them all the time.
~Good Health Sea Salt Potato Chips: Meh. I could take these or leave them. Kettle Chips are good (and these are made with 100% olive oil), but I would pass by these for regular chips if given the chance.
I never go a cost breakdown on this box, but I always think that SnackSack is a great value and sends you a great variety of snacks!
