Aster Market April 2016 Subscription Box Review

Aster Market is a monthly delivered box of exceptionally made, small-batch products from around the world. Boxes will include anything from home décor, jewelry, accessories, paper goods, bath products and more. In addition, Aster Marker will donate 25% of the net proceeds of each purchase can be donated to a non-profit of your choice.

Aster Market ships via USPS.  If you subscribe by the last day of the month, your first box will ship the first week of the following month.  For example, if you subscribe by April 30th, then your Aster Market box will ship the first week of May.

The April 2016 Aster Market box included the following items:

~Caitlin McClain Little Low Bloom Art Print (8×10) ($20): This print is gorgeous!  Subscription boxes tend to send 5×7 prints more than any other size, but this one is 8×10 which makes me like it even more.  It reminds me of a Rifle Paper Co. design and I love the colors and the beautiful flowers that if you look at from a distance, form the shape of a heart. This was archive printed with 100 year inks on an uncoated archival presentation-quality artist paper.


~Adam Rabbit Long Gold Raw Quartz Crystal Statement Necklace ($20): I love everything about this necklace, but I am not 100% sure when / where I will wear it.  It’s a natural quartz stone, so no two necklaces will be exactly alike. The quartz is said to be one of clarity and dispels all negative energy.



~Urban Oreganics Lip Butter (0.5 oz) ($12): In my opinion you can’t go wrong with a lip balm / lip butter!  Yeah, we get a lot of them in subscription boxes, but I also use them like crazy. Not only is this lip balm huge (at 0.5oz it is over 3x the size of a tube of chapstick which is 0.15oz), but it’s also vegan, 100% natural and organic.  And it works.  It’s super moisturizing and smells fabulous.

All totaled the April 2016 Aster Market has a value of $52. I liked this month’s box better than last month’s, but it still didn’t wow me. I will give it another month and then I’ll decide if I want to continue with it (I give all subscription boxes three months before I make a decision to cancel or stay subscribed).
