Monthly Express March 2016 Subscription Box Review
Monthly Express is the perfect gift of “ME Time” – for friends, loved ones, and most importantly – yourself! Each month you’ll receive a beautifully wrapped box containing high-end luxury products with a boutique feel from all around the world delivered directly to your doorstep.

Monthly Express ships via USPS Priority Mail.

A while back (as in last July), I purchased a one-month voucher to Monthly Express from Gilt City.  The voucher was $75 for a one-month subscription (a $129 value), plus I had a $15 off coupon code, so all totaled I paid $60 for this box.  It took me a while to redeem my voucher and then once I did my box never arrived from Monthly Express.  I contacted their customer service once I figured out I hadn’t gotten my box (it took me a few months to realize I had never gotten anything) and they sent it to me within a week.

Isn’t the packaging on this box amazing? Opening it is a treat in itself.  Everything just looks and feels extra special.  You can tell that Monthly Express takes great pride in putting fabulous subscription boxes together.

The March 2016 Monthly Express collection contained the following items:

~Coconut Oil by Cocovit ($38): Coconut oil can be used anywhere on the body – as a moisturizer, a make-up remover, cuticle softener, shaving balm, etc. It also makes for a great hair mask. I have used coconut oil in the past, but nothing like this!  It’s harvested from fresh, organic coconuts in South India and their proprietary extration process allows the coconut oil to be left raw, untouched by heat which allows the oil to retain its freshness.  I will be using this for weekly hair masks and I am also going to start using it as a cuticle softener.

~Cocovit Orange + Basil Lip Balm (1oz) ($14): I am absolutely obsessed with this.  Like crazy obsessed. It’s awesome. First of all it’s huge (an ounce of lip balm is a lot) and it smells fantastic.  But it’s also super moisturizing and it basically melts into your lips when you apply it.  This is a new must-have for me.

~Sicilian Bergamot Shower Gel by Naturopathica (8oz) ($26): This scent is described as a “the warmth of Atlas Cedar” layed with a sparkling infusion of Valencia Orange, Italian Bergamot, Clementine and Pink Grapefuit.  I was worried at first it would be too strong, but I didn’t find that to be the case at all. It was a nice balance and left the shower (and my skin) feeling and smelling amazing.

~Vapor Bath Elixir by Farmaesthetics ($40): This can be used in two ways.  You can either add two capfuls into your hot bath or place in a pan of hot water and cover your head with a towel to create a vapor tent to clear clogged pores and / or a stuffy nose.  This isn’t a type of product we receive from subscription boxes on a regular basis, so I am super excited about it.

~High Cotton Body Dust by Farmaesthetics ($27): This is another unique item for a subscription box.  It works for pretty much any place where moisture and irritation can occur.  It can also be used as a natural deodorizer.  It’s lightly scented and will be awesome for hot summer days.

All totaled I came up with a value of $145 for the March 2016 Monthly Express.  I loved the curation and loved every single one of the items in it. I only wish the value was higher (or actually I wish the price of the box was lower).  If this box had a $60 or even $75 price point I would have a hard time saying no to it!
