BeautyFIX May 2016 Subscription Box Review

The May 2016 BeautyFIX contained the following “latest and greatest youth-replenishing products that capture an enviously ageless glow”:

~Avene Mineral Ultra-Light Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ (1.3 fl.oz) ($28): This sunscreen / lotion is chemical-free and mineral based and shields skin from environmental damage and pre-mature aging.  It’s lightweight and easily rubs into your skin.  Some sunscreens with this high of an SPF leave a white residue on your skin, but this isn’t one of them.

~Replenix Pure Hydration Hyaluronic Acid Serum (0.28fl.oz) ($19.32): This serum is designed to give you firmer, smoother skin and a more youthful expression.  You can apply it 1-2x a day and can even mix it with your favorite serum or moisturizer to boost results.  I’ve only tested this a few times, but so far so good.

~Skinmedica HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator (0.13fl.oz) ($11.57): This blends 5 types of hydrators that work to plump up the skin and reside the look of fine lines and wrinkles.  At $178 for a full-size bottle, I can only hope that I don’t fall in love with this!

BeautyFIX May 2016 Subscription Box Review
~beautyblender Micro Mini with Sample-Sized Cleaner (~$10): I love mini beautyblenders!  They are 100% latex-free and work amazing to conceal blemishes and highlight your face.  Also included is a small sample of beautycleanser which is used to clean your beautyblenders.

~Glotherapeutics Vital Eye Cream (0.5fl.oz) ($40): This cream helps to diminish dark circles and puffiness while restoring lost moisture.  I did feel like it helped with puffiness but it’s too soon to tell about dark circles.  I haven’t had much luck with other eye creams removing / reducing dark circles, but I am willing to try this one!

~La Roche – Posay Anthelion 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid (3mL) ($1.35): This gives you broad-spectrum protection to ward off damage.  It’s lightweight (I’d almost describe it as thin) and can be worn under makeup. It’s also water resistant, fragrance-free and paraben-free.

~Babor Doctor Babor Derma Cellular Collagen Booster Cream (0.5fl.oz) ($45.56): This is another one I hope I don’t fall in love with because it’s $154 for the full-size!  It’s supposed to create a “plump, youthful appearance” though and I am down for that.  This box has so many creams and lotions and serums, but I think this is going to be the one I use first!

I adore this box. I also got Allure Beauty Box and Birchbox. I feel between the 3 I have a well balanced selection. The Beautyfix box gives me the skincare and hair treatments. Allure gives me a balance of skincare and color. Then Birchbox gets to stay because of their Bonus point system. I swear they nearly give it to me… I use the points to gift subscriptions to others ($90 in a year!… which means I pay $30 a year for my sub… not bad), although its days may be numbered.
