Love With Food May 2016 Tasting Box Review + $2 Off First Box
Love With Food sends members a curated box filled unique gourmet food items. The “Tasting Box” is $9.99/month and offers with 8+ snacks and the “Deluxe” box is $19.95/month and includes 16-20 snacks. Love With Food also offers a Gluten-Free box for $24.99/month which includes 8-12 surprise gluten-free snacks each month. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months they actually donate two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.  This review is on the May Tasting Box.

Love With Food ships via USPS. Boxes typically ship on the 10th of the month and arrive a week or so after.

The May 2016 Love With Food theme was “Love is Empathy” and included the following items:

~Skinnypop Dusted Dark Chocolate Popcorn: This popcorn is dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO.  And also, it’s delicious.  I have been on a popcorn kick and this is amazing.  It’s not coated with chocolate (which can sometimes be too much), but instead is dusted.  It’s perfect.

~Glee Gum Pop: Glee Gum Pops are a lollipop with glee gum inside.  They are vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free and my kids love them.  My 8 year-old thinks the gum is such an amazing treat and my 4 year-old just likes the lollipop (he never gets to the gum).

~Surf Sweets Organic Jelly Beans: I think I discovered Surf Sweets thanks to subscription boxes and we have been a fan since the first time we received them. My kids love their gummies the most, but their jelly beans are pretty good too.  They are very flavorful and are also gluten-free, organic, non-GMO and dairy-free.

~Smooze Pink Guava + Coconut Fruit Ice: Smooze! are another favorite snack of ours. You pop them in the freezer and they are super refreshing on a hot summer day. They are non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free. I think my kids like these even more than the freeze pops (and they LOVE those).

~Kutoa Peanut Butter & Jelly Bar: This is the next best thing to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!  It’s gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and non-GMO.  I thought the flavors were authentic and found it to be very satisfying.

~Biena Foods Chickpea Snacks: I do not like cooked chickpeas, but I do love crunchy ones. These are non-GMO, gluten-free and dairy-free. They are packed with protein and fiber and have a hint of sea salt which make them extra delicious.

~Emily’s Chocolate Northwest Trail Mix:  These are a combination of Roasted and Salted Cashews, Roasted Almonds, plump juicy California Raisins, Dried Cranberries, and Cinnamon Apple Dices.  The LWF information card calls refers to it as the “chocolate” Northwest Trail Mix, but that must have been a typo because there was no chocolate in this.  I would have loved to swap out those raisins for chocolate chunks though!

~Sheila’s Chocolate Chip Brownie Brittle: Brownie Brittle is amazing!  The information card calls it dangerous in the best possible way and I totally agree.  I think the individual bags are the way to go with Brownie Brittle.  Those big bags from Costco are amazing, but you’ll probably end up eating way more than you would if it was portioned out like this.  I know I would (do) anyway.

~Bonus Item: Smart Pants Women’s Complete Gummy Vitamins: These vitamins taste good (they are fruit flavored gummies) and also are a compete all-in-one multivitamin.

~$50 Off Tieks Coupon: This month’s box includes a $50 off Tieks coupon code! The code will actually be e-mailed to subscribers, but there was a little card in the box with details.  I recall back in April that they mentioned they’d be doing something with Tieks this month and here it is.  Tieks are fabulous ballet flats, but they are expensive and rarely offer coupon codes so this is huge!

~Coupons: All Love With Food boxes also contain an assortment of coupons for items that were included in the box.  This month’s box also contained a small Simple Micellar Cleansing Water sample.
