Wantable Makeup August 2016 Subscription Box Review

Wantable offers five different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness, style and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. They also allow you to return a just portion of your box if you want!  Wantable lists “Your Price” on the information card along with the “Retail Price” so you can easily determine the amount of credit you will receive if you opt to return certain items.  If you end up keeping your entire box, a credit of $4 will be posted to your account – making your next box $36.

Wantable ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.  Wantable (typically) ships at the same time each month based on when you originally subscribed.  So if you subscribed at the end of the month, your box will always ship at the end of the month.

I skipped my July box, but I was ready to get this one opened up!

Like I mentioned before (and like I do every month), you can totally customize your Wantable box. You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike. You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike. It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing. Eyeliner is my only dislike and that seems to be working out well. Wantable has also launched the “My Stream” which includes product and customer photos of items from Wantable boxes. You can scroll through the images, and if you see something you love, you can request it in your next box.

My August 2016 Wantable Makeup Box contained the following items:

~Manna Kadar Beauty Dream Palette (Retail Price: $29, Your Price: $12): This palette includes 6 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 2 highlighters and a contour shade.  I swatched them all, but the swatches on the site are much better (MUCH BETTER). I was thrilled to get a palette in here and think these colors are so pretty and flattering. Note: The information card shows a Retail Price of this of $29, but according to Manna Kadar’s website, the retail price is actually $39.

~Elizabeth Mott Queen of the Fill Tinted Brow Gel (Retail Price: $20, Your Price: $8.28): This not only tames your brows, but also grooms and sculpts them. It looks pretty natural and was easy to do.

~Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer (Retail Price: $20, Your Price: $8.28): This is a “lightweight and waterproof formula that locks in your eye makeup and prevents shadow creasing”.  It seemed to make my shadow pop when I tested it, but I didn’t have it on long enough to see if it really did prevent creases after a long day.

~Sugar Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick (Mary Poppins) (Retail Price: $18, Your Price: $7.45): This sure is pink!  Mary Poppins is a “fushia” and is all together too bright for me personally so I will be passing it on to a friend.  I am also not a huge fan of matte lip colors.  Note: The information card shows a Retail Price of this of $18, but according to Sugar’s website, the retail price is actually $16.99.

~Bonus Item: Sugar Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick Sharpener ($2.99): This box also included a sharpener for the above lip crayon.  It’s not listed on the information card, so I am just considering it part of the lip crayon?

All totaled my August 2016 Wantable Makeup package had a value of $87 (per Wantable).  It was actually higher than that because some of the values on the information card were off. I totally enjoyed this shipment and would loveto see more palettes!

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup, accessories, intimates, fitness or the new style edit) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?
