Red Dirt Co. July 2016 Subscription Box Review
Red Dirt Co. is a monthly subscription box from Three Rocks Farm. Every month brings a box of goodies, all handmade at the farm. Inside the box you may find items such as, but not limited to: hand-printed cards, soap, herbal insect repellent, candles, flower and herb seeds, loose leaf teas, and hand salve. Every month is a surprise!

Red Dirt Co. boxes are shipped via USPS from the farm in Virginia.

Everything was packaged neatly and was all well protected.

The July 2016 Red Dirt Co. box included the following items:

~Handmade Cards “Cicada”: These cards are blank on the inside and could really be used for anything.  I think they would be best as Thank You cards for some reason though.

~Red Dirt Lip Balm: This lip balm contain sweet almond oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, avocado oil and peppermint essential oil (all of the ingredients are listed on the package).  It smells good and made my lips feel amazing.

~Red Dirt Co. Chervil Anthriscus Cerefolium: I can’t say that I have ever heard of Chervil.  According to Wikipedia, it “is a delicate annual herb related to parsley“.  It says it should be planted in early Spring or late Fall, so I guess I will be planting this in October?

~Red Dirt Co. Green Salve: This green salve can be used for cuts and scrapes, burns, diaper rash or dry skin.  I used to LOVE to use items like for diaper rash.  Worked like a charm every time. This contains: sweet almond oil, olive oil, beeswax, plantain comfrey, yarrow, calendula and lavender.

~Red Dirt Co. Summer Hibiscus Tea ($7): I am going to pass this tea (which is a blend of roselle hibiscus fruit, mint, chamomile and lemon peel) on to my cousin.  It smells AMAZING and I think it would be awesome iced.

~Red Dirt Co. Jewelweed Liniment ($5): This spray is to be used to relieve sore muscles.  I had to google that because I had what the meaning of “Liniment” was.

I couldn’t do a full cost breakdown on the July 2016 Red Dirt Co.  as all of the products were not included on the Red Dirt Co. website.  I loved the quality of the items, but wished that the price point was a bit lower. I also would have loved to see a more detailed information card in here.  I wasn’t sure about how to use some of the items and I wasn’t able to find them on the Red Dirt Co. website.  I think that a detailed information card with some history about the craftsmanship and what goes into making these handmade goodies would be amazing.
