The August 2016 Outside the Box by Cheeky Days theme was “Kickin’ It With Kindness.” This month’s partner was “Soles4Souls“.  Every Outside the Box purchased in August means two pairs of shoes for those in need.  The box included the following items:

~Strictly No Elephants ($12.59): This book is about a little boy and his elephant who are banned from the pet club because of the elephant.  They find out that children and their unique pets are having the same issue, so they decide to start their own club where “All Are Welcome.”  It’s very sweet and a great reminder about making sure that everyone is included and to be sure to be kind.

~True Warrior Arrow Ring ($9.71): This ring is beautiful!  It’s delicate and adjustable – but make sure to adjust slowly.  According to etsy, it will adjust from a size 4.5 to a size 9. It’s also hand-made, designed, and packaged with love.

~Craft Packs: Each box contains two craft pack.  One to keep and one to pass along with your Kickin’ It With Kindness card.  This month’s craft is a “Shoelace Craft.” You can use the included shoelaces and beads to make a bracelet or a necklace.  I love that they include two – one for you and one to pass on.

~“Kind is the New Cool” T-Shirt by Mama Says Tees ($28): This shirt is perfect!  It’s a “Tai-Blend” (50% Polyester / 25% Cotton / 25% Rayon) by American Apparel and is SO soft.  I love it!  The message is spot on, and it’s something I want my boys to know.  Just perfect.

~Soles4Souls “Sole Challenge”: Every box included a challenge from Soles4Souls.  Ours is to knock on ten people’s doors and ask them to donate at least 1 pair of shoes for Soles4Souls.  The box included a mailing label, and there are also drop-off locations across the country.

I couldn’t do a full breakdown on this box, but the t-shirt and the book alone added up to $40.  I really enjoyed this box.  The price-point is a bit high (I would love to see a bi-monthly option), but I love the lessons in it and the thought behind everything was amazing.
