The Bam Box! September 2016 Subscription Box Review

The Bam Box is a monthly mystery subscription box full of geek, nerd, gamer, sci-fi and horror collectibles. EVERY box contains a limited edition or exclusive item!

The Bam Box ships around the 20th of the month via USPS. They accept signups up until 5pm PST on the 17th or 18th of each month. If you signup after 5pm PST on the 17th or 18th, your first Bam Box will be shipped out the following month.

This was my first time receiving The Bam Box, and I went in spoiler free which was fun!

The June 2016 “1980s” The Bam Box included the following items:

~Back to the Future Prop Replica License Plate: This is a full-size replica of the license plate from Back to the Future!  Subscribers will either receive the “OUTATIME” plate I received or the bar code plate also from Back to the Future.  I loved this movie, and this will probably hang in our garage with some other license plates we have.

~Exclusive Truffle Shuffle Pin: Any box that has an item from “The Goonies” is going to be a winner in my book!  Man, I loved that movie.  Someone in my Two on Tuesday post suggested that they make a sequel to Goonies, and I think that would be awesome.

~Retro Sunglasses: These are so 80’s!  My four-year-old and eight-year-old sons have never seen anything like them before and are now obsessed.  I can’t say I blame them because these are pretty neat.

~Original Pencil Sketch: Subscribers received sketches from either He-Man, She-Ra, The Real Ghostbusters, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Star Wars Droids, Star Wars Ewoks, My Pet Monster or Back to the Future.  I received a sketch from He-Man.  My brother and I used to watch this show in the 80’s, and I think he’ll get a kick out of this.  These sketches are hand-drawn and contain studio markings from the making of these shows.  They are 100% authentic, and each sketch is an original 1 of 1 item.

~Ralph Macchio Karate Kid Signed Photo: The Karate Kid is another one of my favorite movies from the 80’s!  LOVE!  This photo is signed by Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid) and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

~Bam Box Exclusive Rocky Davies Signed Print: This print was signed by Rocky Davies who created this just for Bam Box subscribers.  500 subscribers received the “Ecto Cooler” variant.  My eight-year-old has yet to see the original Ghostbusters, but once he does, I think he’ll want this in his room.

I couldn’t do a cost breakdown on this box because of The Bam Box exclusive items, but they nailed the theme, and I was very happy with the box.

What do you think of The Bam Box?  If you subscribe now, your subscription will begin with the September “STRANGE” themed box.
