GlobeIn October 2016 Subscription Box Review - "Gather" + Coupon Code
The GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring GlobeIn‘s favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures.

GlobeIn
ships via USPS. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month (I received mine early for review purposes). Orders placed after the 15th of the calendar month will ship on the 15th of the following calendar month.  If boxes sell out before the 15th, your subscription will begin the following month.

The October 2016 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Gather” box included the following items:

~Neem Wood Salad Grabbers, India ($15): These salad grabbers are handcrafted in India and will be a gorgeous addition to any table.  The artist who made them crafts them out of her home which allows her to be with her children and also earn an income for her family.

~Recycled Cotton Coasters by Craft Boat & Tribe Alive, India ($20): These coasters are made from recycled textile remnants by artists with Craft Boat.  Craft Boat is a company that is seeking to infuse a vision of modernity with the virtues of the craft.  The coasters come in a variety of different patterns, and I am guessing that no two are alike.  They are sturdy and seem as though they will hold up well.

~Woven Bread Bowl by Makaua, Mexico ($22): For whatever reason, I don’t own a bread basket and while I don’t need one often when I do I am stuck putting my rolls in a plastic bowl.  Not anymore! This bread basket is hand woven and will be so handy up the upcoming holidays.

~Palm Leaf Basket from Mexico or Woven Placemats ($12): Subscribers this month were able to choose between the traditional Palm Leaf Basket or Palm Leaf Placemats.  I received the placemats.  They were woven in the Mexican state of Puebla where weaving is a way of life.   I am going to take the advice of the information card and use these to help protect my table from hot dishes.

All totaled the October 2016 GlobeIn Artisan Box had a value of $69.  All of the items in the box are useful and will all be great to have on hand for our upcoming “Gatherings.”
