White Willow Box October 2016 Subscription Box Review

White Willow Box is a bi-monthly Canadian based lifestyle subscription box. Each box will contain four to five sample / full-sized products ranging from: beauty and personal care products, fashion accessories, home decor accents, culinary delights, technology gadgets and other lifestyle surprises.  The box is $58.45 CAD shipped within Canada or $69.45 CAD shipped to the States.  With the current exchange rate, it works out to about $52 USD (shipped to the US).  I want to mention that White Willow Box recently switched from a monthly to a bi-monthly subscription and increased their prices from $35/month to $49.95/month. October was the first box to reflect this change.

I was so excited to see this box in the mail today. I knew it was on the way, but I didn’t expect it quite so soon.

The October 2016 White Willow Box included the following:

~Rose Gold Mirror Frame (~$17 per information card): I found it very difficult to get a good picture of this frame.  It’s a mirrored frame, so it reflects a ton of light. It can be used for vertical or horizontal 4×6 pictures, and I already have it up in my office.  Subscription boxes don’t often have picture frames in them, so I am always thrilled to get one.

~Juicy Bamboo Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil Cloths by Kaia Naturals ($15.50): These came in a Yogi Surprise a while back, and I was so happy to see them again here.  The packaging is adorable, and the cloths themselves are pretty good too ;). They remove makeup and are 100% biodegradable.  They also smell nice and are infused with vitamin C, E and B12 + jojoba oil, sunflower oil and organic honey.

~Maple Pumpkin Butter by Wildly Delicious ($6.50): Delicious!  I had it on an english muffin instead of my normal peanut butter and loved it.  It contains pure Canadian maple syrup, holiday spice, and pumpkin and pretty much tastes like fall.  LOL!  I do want to mention that it needs to be refrigerated after opening.

~Large Blanket Scarf (~$30 per information card): White Willow Box released this as a spoiler for this box.  I may finally be getting to the point where I have too many blanket scarves!    But I do love them.  In addition to wearing them myself, they also make great blankets for the boys in the car.

The box also included a few Pumpkin Spice Lindt  Truffles which my husband polished off for me. All totaled the October 2016 White Willow Box had a value of $69.  I loved everything in it, but I wish the value were a bit higher considering the recent price increase.

I agree. I was disappointed with this box given the price increase. I feel that the box should have had at least one other item, as I paying over $60 for this box (don’t forget there is gst tax on this). I was not a fan of the picture frame.
