The January 2017 BOXYCHARM theme was “And the Charm Award Goes to…” and included the following items:

~Vintage Cosmetics ILLUMINATING FACE HIGHLIGHTER SET LIMITED EDITION (Rose Quartz / Chocolate Diamond) ($35): In the package, I was just “meh” about this, but once I tested it? OMG.  It’s so stunning.  The rose quartz is the most beautiful highlighter shade I have every come across.  You can wear it over blush or bronzer, but it’s equally gorgeous alone.

~So Susan Cosmetics Fan Brush ($18.95): This might be the first fan brush I have received in a subscription box?  It’s used for applying highlighter or powder and is made with high-quality synthetic nylon & taklon hairs only.

~Gorge Konjac Sponge ($18): This sponge is made from 100% preservative-free konjac root.  The first time I tried a konjac sponge I thought wait, what?  I am supposed to put this rock on my face?  But if you soak it for a minute or two it gets softer.  You don’t even need to use a cleanser with this.  It works to bring you softer, brighter skin even without it.

~Pur Cosmetics Mineral Glow Bronzer ($25): This is a 100% cruelty-free product, is gluten-free and also contains no parabens.  Sadly it’s just a little too dark for me right now.  Maybe in the summer or after I use some self-tanner it will work better for me?

~English Laundry Pour Femme Deluxe Roller Ball ($25): Pour Femme has top notes of quince, complimented by white chocolate and jasmine petals at the heart and base notes of orris roots, powdery musk, and sensual woods.  I thought it smelled sweet.  Almost fruity (I realize that does not match the description at all, but that’s what I picked up.)  I loved it.

The January 2017 BOXYCHARM had a value of $121.95.  I loved this box and, as usual, was blown away by the value.  How do they do it???

We are box twins this month! I am loving the Vintage products Boxy charm is sending out, but I had the same fear about the Pur bronzer on my pale winter skin. So, yesterday, I used a light hand and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t too dark and that I got it to work. ?
