Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

The Winter 2016 Men’s Health Box included the following items:

~Dibi Shoe Laces ($48): I couldn’t find these online so I used the price from the information card.  My husband (aka B) likes the idea of colorful laces, but really just doesn’t have the time to swap out the laces.

~Dibi Magnetic Lapel Pin ($36): I couldn’t find this one online either, so again it’s a price from the information card.  It seems high (to me), but then again I don’t know that I have ever bought a lapel pin?  I know my husband won’t wear this, so we’ll use it on the fridge.

~Moustard Dress Socks (~$8.50): This pair is “designed with the inspiration of Rembrandt’s amazing portraits”. I didn’t think of Rembrandt when I saw them, but I do like them!

~Moustard Pocket Square ($25): This pocket square is 100% silk.  The pattern is absolutely beautiful too.

~Star Wars Stance Socks ($20): OMG these are amazing!  They are Darth Vadar athletic socks.  I gave them to my brother for Christmas and he better be wearing them to the gym ;).

~Degree Active Deodorant Spray (~$3): This smells good and B says it works, so what’s not to like?

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~Taconic Shave Shampoo Bar ($10): I don’t think B is quite as excited about shampoo bars as I am.  I think they are fantastic, but he’s still on the fence.  He’ll eventually try this, but I don’t have high hopes.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review
~Marlow Men’s Facial Moisturizer (6oz) ($7.99): This lightweight moisturizer is Paraben and phthalate-free and made in the USA.  I liked the smell (I picked up a lot of citrus), but I could see a lot of people being turned off by it.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~das Boom Everything Shampoo ($26) & Everyday Conditioner ($26) + das Boom Everything Wash (100mL) ($10): This shampoo & conditioner formula blends the hydrating oils of avocado, argan, pumpkin seed, and rosehip with scalp-nourishing tea tree, rosemary, and geranium extract.  B hates using my girly hair stuff (although he will) so this is ideal.  The box also included a das Boom Everything Wash, which has an “island scent” that’s a dark and earthy blend of bay rum, smoke, and dirt.  It doesn’t sound amazing, but it is.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~New Zealand Jerky ($8): This was gone about two minutes after B opened it.  They sent the original flavor, which is his favorite type of jerky.  It’s all-natural, gluten-free, non-GMO and made with grass-fed beef.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~Detour Simple Bar ($2): Each of these bars has 10g of protein, 3g of fiber, 4g of sugar and 100 calories.  B didn’t like it, but I did.  I didn’t love it, but for a protein bar I thought it tasted good.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~prohands PRO Hand Exerciser ($13.77): This improves grip, hand and forearm strength.  I kind of love it.  It’s something you don’t know you need until you have it.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~Riptensity DVD: The information card values this at $69.99, but they have to mean the full set shown on the Men’s Health Site because one DVD surely does not cost $69.99.  I haven’t known my husband ever to use a workout dvd (I think he has with me a time or two) and I doubt he’ll start now.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

~Outdoor Tech Minnows Wired EarBuds ($19.95):  I gave these to my Dad for Christmas.  He’s like an earbud junkie.  I have no idea what he does with them all, but he’s thrilled to get them.

Men's Health Box Winter 2016 Review

All totaled I came up with a value of $264.21 for the Winter 2016 Men’s Health Box.  I wasn’t thrilled with this box.  It felt so similar to their other boxes and some of the items seemed very overpriced.  I think we’ll skip this one for awhile and maybe try it again in the summer.

What do you think of the Winter 2016 Men’s Health Box? If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, you can check them out here.
