I opted for “Volley” this month.  Truthfully Bespoke Post opted for Volley for me this month and I just forgot to swap it.

The May 2017 Bespoke Post “Volley” box included the following items:

~Frescobol Beach Paddle Game Kit : These paddles are handcrafted in Florida using American birch wood.  They are sturdy and well-made, but not heavy.  The grip is made from a high-tack elastomer with a raised, padded groove.  It feels like a softer version of a tennis racket handle in my opinion.  The ball is a hollow silica-rubber composite that’s bouncy, but not crazy so.  I thought it was similar to a racketball, except it is larger.

My 5-year-old and I tested this out in the backyard this afternoon and had a ball (no pun intended).  We aren’t the best players, but I see us getting a lot of use out of this set this summer.  More than I expected actually.  My only concern is storage.  I wish it would have included a beach tote bag like the set on the Frescobol website.
