BOXYCHARM Review - May 2017

The May 2017 BOXYCHARM theme is “Makeup is Art” and included the following items:

~Temptu x BOXYCHARM Liquid Glow ($29): This is a limited edition collaboration between BOXYCHARM and Temptu.  It gives off a gorgeous shimmery golden glow, and according to Temptu, it’s their first hand-applied highlighter.  It was thinner than I expected so be careful when squeezing it out of the bottle.  The information card suggests mixing it with your foundation (or BB cream), which I think is a great idea.

IBY Powder Highlight & Contour Palette ($40): Subscribers this month received either the  IBY Powder Highlight & Contour Palette (which I received) or Beauty Creations Contour Cream Palette.  I feel like we’ve been on contour overload in boxes lately, so this will likely get passed on to a friend.  I do appreciate the instructions they included in here though because contouring is an art I am far from mastering.

~Crown Paddle Brush from Crown ($24.99): This brush is used to apply foundation for a completely seamless, airbrushed finish.  I currently use a beautyblender type sponge, so I need to get used to this.  It’ll also work to highlight and contour.

~The Brow Gal The Convertible Brow Trio & Brow Brush ($49): The information card lists these separately (the power at $35 and the brush at $14), so those are the price I used.  I used to think that the brush was included in the $35 set online, but I am not sure anymore? Anyway, this powder can be used wet or dry and once used wet will revert to powder consistence.  It contains warm, neutral, and ash tones to allow you to mix and match your perfect, custom color.   My brows don’t get as much attention as they need, but subscription boxes are trying to fix that.

BOXYCHARM Review - May 2017

Al totaled the May 2017 BOXYCHARM had a value of $143.  That’s a mind-blowing value for a $21 box, and it’s hard to say I am disappointed with this box, but it didn’t speak to me like some of their boxes do.  Hopefully, that makes sense!
