Mine Chest, the first official Minecraft subscription box, is a bundle of hand-picked, official, Minecraft goodies, delivered right to your doorstep every other month. Exactly what’s included is a closely-guarded secret, but expect an exclusive t-shirt, exclusive items, a premium collectible chest, a unique project, and a selection of official collectibles. It should be noted that Mine Chest has recently joined forces with Loot Crate and now ships bi-monthly instead of monthly. In addition, the price has increased from $36.99 to $39.99/box.
Mine Chest
Cost: $39.99/bi-monthly (Was $36.99/month)
Ships To: United States. International (add $10)
Coupon Code: N/A
Mine Chest ships via USPS. I am not totally sure when this box was supposed to ship. I *think* it should have shipped shortly after the ordering deadline, which was March 15th, but it’s not totally clear on the website. Regardless, this box shipped very late!
Each Mine Chest box can be transformed to match that month’s theme. This box reversed into a Redstone.
My boys are 5 and 8 and are absolutely obsessed with Minecraft and could not wait to tear into it.
The March / April 2017 Mine Chest theme was “REDSTONE” and included the following items:
~Minecraft T-Shirt: Like all t-shirts in Mine Chest this one is officially licensed. L (my 8-year-old) loves it. Red is his favorite color and who doesn’t need a fresh Minecraft shirt? He was explaining all about the mobs and minecarts to me, and I am 99.9% sure he will be wearing this to school tomorrow.
~Minecraft Mystery Mini-Figure: I can’t thank Mine Chest enough for sending two of these! I can’t even imagine what would have went down between my boys had they just sent one. LOL! Oddly enough we just spotted these at WalMart a few days ago too! W got the Sheep in the mine cart, while L got Steve! Both were very happy!
~Minecraft Light-Up Redstone Ore ($10.96): My boys split up everything in this box (usually without a fight too), and since L already has one of these (I think his lights up green though) this is W’s! It has an on-off switch, and you just tap it to turn it on. It has three different levels of light, and you just tap it until you get your desired brightness.
~Minecraft Stamp & Ink Pad: So far every Mine Chest has included a Minecraft stamp and ink pad. This *might* be the first red ink we have received though? I had no idea what the actual stamp was, but L tells me it’s Redstone Dust. It fits the theme perfectly, and my boys always seem to be happy to get these.
~Minecraft Compass Pin: Another Minechest exclusive! W loves getting the pins, so this one is all him. I believe each box so far has also included a pin. We have quite a collection of them; I know that.
~Mine Chest Exclusive Stickers: These are another W item. He mainly puts them on the computer he plays Minecraft on, but I feel like the train tracks are going to be saved for “something special” – like building the best Minecraft track ever.
~Minecraft Poster: The final item in the box was a poster from the Minecraft Medieval Fortress book. L is thrilled with this and is already hanging up in his room. I have to admit; it is pretty cool!
What did you think of the March / April 2017 Mine Chest? Did you love it as much as we did? My boys were thrilled, but we are really hoping that Mine Chest gets their shipping issues worked out so that we can get this box in a more timely manner. It was worth the wait though!
