Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Subscription Box Review
Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Subscription Box

Beauty Box 5 delivers a sample box of all things beauty. Each box contains 4 – 5 samples of a variety of makeup, skin care, fragrances and everything in between!  Boxes are $12/month if you do a month-to-month subscription, however the price drops if you subscribe for an extended period of time.

The Box

Beauty Box 5 ships via DHL. I am not quite sure how long it took to arrive since I never received a shipping notification on it.

First Look

This was a fabulous first look! Beauty Box 5 is fairly hit or miss, but this looked like a hit.

The Information Card

The September 2015 Beauty Box 5 theme was “Fall: On Fleek” and included the following items:

~Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass Lip + Cheek Stain (3g) ($6.90): This is very similar to Stainiac by The Balm and Benefit’s benetint.  It leaves a nice wash of color on your lips and / or cheeks and is super easy to apply. You just dab it on and go.  I found the staying power to be quite impressive on this.

~Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment ($2.70): There is no size listed on this package, but I am estimating that it’s about 3oz.  I love all things lemon scented so this is totally me.  It’s supposed restore “weightless body and shine”, but honestly if all it ends up doing is making my hair smell like lemons, I would be more than cool with that.

~Harvey Prince Sincerely Mini Roller (8.8mL) ($21): I wouldn’t say I am disappointed when I see Harvey Prince in subscription boxes, but I am also not overly excited.  It’s been in so many subscription boxes that it’s getting to the point of being overdone.  I do love it though.  Sincerely has notes of “cedarwood, freesia and orange flowers”.  It’s a nice mix of citrus and florals.

~Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in Snowflake (2.35g) (~$10): I don’t know for sure if this is the full-size or not since the bellapierre website doesn’t list the sizes of their products.  I estimated it at $10 to be conservative.  This is a fantastic shimmer and works as an eyeshadow or a highlighter.

~Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Crayon (The Boss) (2.5g) ($16): I suspect a variety of colors were sent out, but I am thrilled with this coppery brown color I received.  It’s fabulous! It goes on smoothly and is very easy to blend.  I am really happy with this!

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $56.60 for the September 2015 Beauty Box 5 which is quite amazing considering the cost of the box. I am quire pleased with this box and hope this hot streak they are on continues!
