Allure Beauty Box Review - January 2017

My January 2017 Allure Beauty Box included the following items:

~Doucce Freematic Eye Shadow ($35): This special-edition palette has four shadows to help you create the ultimate smokey eye.  The quad included a shimmery plum, a matte black, a pearly white and a slate gray.  The shadows are great and can be applied wet or dry, but what’s even better is that the palette is magnetic.  You can switch out the shades and put any magnetic shadow pot you want in it!

~Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray (1.4oz) ($11): I love dry shampoo, and Oscar Blandi is one of my favorites.  It smells of “lemon verbena with a hint of sweet floral” and does a great job of soaking up excess oil.  It doesn’t leave any weird white residue either, which is key!

~Sigma E70 Medium Angled Shading Brush ($16): This brush is synthetic and cruelty-free.  It’s firm and perfectly angled to get right in those eyelid creases.

~Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion (0.25oz) ($9.88): This “helps diminish the appearance of fine lines, acne marks, and skin discolorations.”  I love getting items like these in subscription boxes.  I have tried this in the past and loved it.  It’s not crazy harsh, but it works!  It really works.  It gets rid of that top layer of dead skin and makes you glow!

~Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Blush Basin ($8.99): This gives you the cover of a lipstick with the moisturizing power of a balm.  The packaging is made from 60% recycled plastic, and the lipstick is formulated without parabens, phthalates, mineral oil or petrolatum.  You know I don’t generally love lipstick, but I do love this.

~Biobelle Facial Mask in #iwokeuplikethis ($4.99): This mask is free of GMO’s, parabens, gluten, and phthalate. It’s supposed to “enhance your skins natural glow.”  It was a tad drippy but smelled amazing.

All totaled my January 2017 Allure Beauty Box had a value of $85.86.  I added it up a few times to just make sure that was right because the value was just so amazing.  Once again, Allure knocked it out of the park this month!

Love Allure beauty boxes! I cancelled a few subscriptions, but kept this one. It’s worth the extra $5.
