Pottery Barn Outlet

Like I shared yesterday, we scored two Manhattan Chairs at the Pottery Barn Outlet during a “just looking” trip. That’s the thing with going to the outlet. You think you are just looking and then see something you love and are forced to buy it since you know it will be gone next time you are there. I have been looking at leather chairs for our sitting area (not sure what else to call it) for awhile now. Months and months. In stores and online. Either the chairs were beautiful, but way out of my price range, didn’t fit what I needed or were flat out ugly. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I am very picky.

I always wanted the Manhattan Chairs, but I didn’t want to pay $3,602, which is what I priced it out to be with tax, delivery, etc. I seriously figured it out and thought, wow, that is insane. I think I mentioned it before, but PB sure gets you on delivery charges. So when B and I saw these chairs (and on special no less) for $899 each, it took about two minutes to decide we wanted them. We walked out the door having paid a little more than 1/2 of what the chairs would have cost online. SCORE!!! So basically, I got exactly what I wanted for 50% off!! I probably would have gotten the Expresso colored ones had I paid full price, but for 50% off, Hazelnut it is!

While we were there, we also picked up a new set of dishes. We have had our everyday dishes (from the PB Outlet) for ages (I think they are actual from my “pre-B” life or arrived very soon after B did?) and they were in pretty rough shape. Most were chipped or scratched and some had broken here and there over the years, so we didn’t even have a full set anymore. We figured since we were already there, we might as well pick some up. I have always hated the bowls that came with our dishes, so we picked something with cereal bowls instead of soup bowls. We got 8 place settings of the Great White collection, which would have cost $204 at the store. I believe we paid $130 for all of our stuff? And the bottom doesn’t even say Pottery Barn outlet like my old ones did. I am
pretty sure these are exactly like what is sold in stores, while the last set was made specifically for the outlet.

And, as predicted, I dragged B back to the outlet today and picked up the Manhattan Ottoman. We only got one so the space wouldn’t be too cluttered. And we tested it out and B and I can both put our feet up at the same time. The ottomans were priced at $339, but we picked up the “defective” ottoman, which was an additional $50 off, making it $289. And the store had a promotion this weekend where you got 25% off the item of our choice, which made it $217! More than 50% off since the regular price is $499!!

I’m super pleased with my deals and cannot wait to snuggle up in my new chairs with a cup of coffee. Who am I kidding? I don’t even drink coffee. I’ll be snuggling up with my laptop and a bowl of ice cream!

What’s your favorite outlet score? How much did you save? Years ago I scored a fabulous buffet at the same Pottery Barn outlet. You can check out that deal here.

**Oh, and forgive the crappy pictures.  They were taken with my iPhone.  I sort of left my battery charger in the hotel room in Florida.  Oops.  They are mailing it back, so better pictures will be coming.  Sometime.**
