I didn’t expect to love the Zoku so much, but I think it’s amazing. If you have no clue what I am talking about, check out my original post here.

L and I made a few different kinds of pops to see what we could do and practice a little bit. We loved the vanilla blueberry one and the cookie dough one! The orange juice / kiwi-strawberry juice one was not a big hit, but it did look super cool. We only made ones out of the recipe book at first, but now I feel more comfortable making them with my own ideas. The layered pops do take longer because you have to wait for each layer to freeze before adding the next layer. And the core pops (think creamsicle) seemed intimidating at first, but now that I have watched the pops freeze (they freeze from the outside in), it really would be super easy to suck out the middle and replace it with a different core flavor.

I ordered the Storage Case, but it hasn’t arrived yet.  At first I thought it was a waste, but now I realize that it would be nice to be able to have some pops on hand and ready when we wanted them.  The pops in the pictures above are from our first attempt ever and I think we did a pretty good job.  I thought it would be more difficult to make pops with blueberries in them or cookie dough in them, but I once I realized there is a tool you use to just stick the stuff on the side of the mold, I realized it was fairly easy!  It does take some trial and error, but I do think that after a little practice, I could make pops that look just like the pictures in the recipe book.

The Zoku gets a huge thumbs up from me and from L!  We totally loved making the pops just as much as we loved eating them!  Sure, we could buy pre-made pops at the store, but this was way more fun!
