Date Night!

L was invited to spend the night at his Nana’s house last night and since there is no way he would ever turn down an invitation to spend the night there, that left B and I with some unexpected free time. We decided to make the most of it and headed downtown. We started the night off with a tasty dinner at Pegasus and got some Saganaki (OPA!), which led to a conversation about how much we wanted to go to Greece. After dinner, we went to where else? Yep, the casino. Greektown Casino to be exact (*). Why do we go to the casino every time we have a kid free night? Well, probably because it’s really the only place we like to go that kids can’t go. We can (and like to) take L with us to lots of different places so we can all have fun together, but the casino is a no go for him. Although I am positive he would LOVE to play the slots. However, the casino is like a giant ashtray, so he would have to wear an astronaut suit or something so he wouldn’t have to breathe that crap in.

Anyways, you win some and you lose some at the casino and, well, we lost some last night.  But we certainly did have a good time!

What do you like to do for your “date nights”?  Other non-kid friendly date activities that B and I enjoy include mani / pedis (seriously) and sometimes the movies.  I’m not really a fan of the movies though since I never get to pick the movie.

Spread the love

I would say that our favorite date night event is eating at a restaurant that *does not* have a kids menu. 🙂 And indulging in a beer or drink.

I didn’t even know such restaurants existed?? LOL.
