Just in case you aren’t aware, I wanted to let you all know that the Summer Clearance is now going on at Target. Currently stuff in my area is 50% off, but I am hoping for 75% off on Saturday and maybe 90% off on Monday? Items with the blue stripped tags / labels (not greenish, look for the blue ones like in the pictures above) are all clearance items. They are never individually labeled so if you happen to find one in the regular aisle of the store, you will know it’s part of the deal!

But there are also a lot of hidden deals too.  Glad Freezer Bags, Press N’ Seal, and Snack Size and Large Size Bowls are all considered summer clearance items as well.  Although the Glad stuff is not labeled, watch for packaging with “Summer Collection” labeled on it. It may be with the summer clearance stuff  or in the regular aisle.  Also included in the clearance which may not be obvious are Market Pantry Summer Fruit Snacks, Sunbeam Snow Cone Makers (and Blenders and Ice Cream Makers – all are in packaging similar to the picture above and come in either red or blue) and accessories, Up and Up paper goods (look for summer’ish looking items with red and blue in them) and 4th of July Cake Mix.

I also found a cute Crayola ArtBuddy backpack during my trip yesterday, which rang up 75% off (or $3.98).  I wish I could get my hands on more of these.

I like to buy the things I really really want when they are 50% off, just to make sure that I can get them.  When it’s 75% off, I am a bit more liberal and will buy more “stuff”.  If they still have the items I bought when they were 50% off, well, you know what happens, I will just rebuy and return.  And when things hit 90% off, I go on a full out search.  If it’s 90% off, I want it.  If you’ll recall, I bought the chalk I put in L’s goodie bag last summer when the summer clearance went 90% off.

If I had any tips, I would recommend looking in all the aisles (toys, paper goods, etc.) to see if there is any summer stuff mixed in.  It’s hard to find stuff when you don’t know what you are looking for, so hopefully some of the pictures I posted help.  Good luck and happy hunting.  And, when it doubt, scan it!
