I don’t know if I have ever mentioned this on here, but B and I are total jean snobs. My denim addiction started long ago, but B’s didn’t start until we met and I talked to him buying some designer jeans. It’s no secret that those jeans can get pricey and it’s not exactly easy (or smart) to spend $200+ every time you need a new pair of jeans. So when I heard about dENiZEN from Levis, I thought they sounded like they would be a good fit for our family. In case you haven’t heard about them, here is the scoop:
“New from the people who invented the classic American jeans, the dENiZEN brand makes it way to Target stores and Target.com nationwide this July. With a wide range of practical, fashionable, great-fitting jeans for the entire family there is no doubt that dENiZEN features the premium craftsmanship and on-trend styles for every body! Levi Strauss & Company has been a respected American crafted brand since 1853; they stand behind their clothes ensuring authenticity in each product. The jeans are made for the American family, by an American company.”
Umm, yeah, did you catch that part? They are exclusive to TARGET! And priced less than $30! How awesome is that? This totally fills the void that Target has in regards to premium denim. They are so many great guest designer lines at Target, but never once have I considered buying jeans there. So, on with the review. I got a pair of jeans for B to try since he is always such a willing model. I was pleasantly surprised when the jeans arrived and felt the fabric. They are nice and soft and feel great to the touch. I thought they looked great on and I could see them being worn for a night on the town or for a baseball game. Totally flexible and could be worn with anything!
We did think that they ran a little small though. I got B the 33 x 32 which is his normal size in all jeans. But they were totally snug and he would have been more comfortable in one size up.
Have you tried the new dENiZEN line? What did you think? And if you haven’t, do you think you will?
**FTC Disclosure: I was provided with a free pair of jeans to review. I was not compensated in any other way. And, as always, all thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone. Well and B’s since he was also part of this.**
*sigh* A picture of B’s jeans-clad ass? I can now die happy.
Totally agree with Amanda. I love that he is so willing to do all this, my hubby would just laugh at me if I suggested it. I’ll totally look into those I have a tough time with getting jeans long enough for me (I’m 5’10”).
Bryan’s such a chick……sure it’s the jeans fault they are a little snug.
That’s my size too. Send them over.
The day that G poses in jeans for my blog…(or the day I want him to) = end of the world! LOL. BTW, that Brian H is too funny!

Found your blog through Erynn’s 🙂 Can’t believe they’re Target jeans! They look great… Do they come in darker washes??
I think he looks gReat!!!!
Just came back to say that my Mom saw this post and told my brother and now he loves those jeans.
Also, perhaps Brian H should talk about his experience with these jeans?
These jeans are garbage. They look and fit nicely, but I have ripped either the crotch or ass (around the back pocket corners) out of four pairs of them that I’ve had for less than six months and DID NOT even use them as work jeans, just cadual. Save your money for something that will last a few years.
I bought a pair of Men’s Denizen jeans about 5 years ago and they fit great but for some reason the 100% cotton material seems very warm. I tried my darnest to wear them out, washing and hot drying them many times. I even sanded them with an electric wood sander, with coarse sandpaper (!) inside-out to get the material to get thinner, to feel cooler. Oh, the material is worn alright, but NO luck; they still feel “warm.” Now thinking the 1% Elastane 99% cotton material might be cooler, I bought another men’s pair. But I think the Denizens seem to be a medium to heavy weight material and they don’t feel comfortable for me, for that reason. Maybe I have a ?sensitivity for heavy weight material.
I think I will do a search for “lightweight jeans” on Google and return the Denizens.
The Denizens are not a lightweight jean, which is what I want to feel comfortable in a pair of jeans.
