Weekend Wrap-Up!

Once again another weekend has come to an end and it’s time to recap!

Friday:

Friday was pretty low-key.  L and I did a lot of playing and I made him a Muffin Tin Meal for dinner, which he loved.  I gave Baxter and Buddy some special treats, which caused Buddy to guard / hide with his for a few hours.  L and I were busy playing and all of a sudden I couldn’t find Buddy.  We searched the house and checked all of Buddy’s normal spots (sometimes he gets locked in rooms on accident) while we were calling his name and still couldn’t find him. I looked outside (just in case) and no Buddy.  There happened to be a dog walking by when I looked outside and usually Buddy would start barking as soon as he saw the dog.  Still no Buddy.  I was starting to get nervous when all of a sudden I saw Buddy emerge from behind the couch with his special treat in his mouth!  He sure is a good hider!  And I totally loving having fresh flowers in the house.  I am going to try and make it a point to get some once a week because they make things so pretty!

Saturday:

Saturday started off like most days around here.  We played choo-choos for hours. Seriously. I suggested a million other things we could do, but nope, choo-choos it was. Oh, and we did read some books.  All holiday ones :).  I picked up some new plastic tracks for 75% off at Target and gave them to L.  And wouldn’t you know it, all he wants to do is drive around in a little circle.  We got in a little outside play time while it was raining, which L thought was super fun and then it was back to choo-choos!  After I got tired of driving my train around in a little circle, I suggested we bake cookies because he’s always up for that.  We made Hersey Kiss cookies, which are my favorite!  And L loved them too.  We also tried out another one of the ideas I pinned on Pinterest (Butterfly Footprints), which L also loved.  He laughed so hard when I was painting his ticklish little feet!  After L went to bed I caught up on some of my DVR’ed stuff and entered some contests (aka a great night).  Ohh, and where was Bryan you ask??He had a boys weekend in Chicago at Lollapalooza and had a fabulous time!  And I want to mention that it was totally my idea that he go there.  I like to think I’m pretty fun!

Sunday
:

Since L and I didn’t leave the house on Saturday, I knew I had to get us out for a little bit so we didn’t get stir crazy. Well, not so much Lucas, but me!!  In between playing choo-choos, building forts and playing with the dogs, we headed to Target (and bought who knows what) and stopped by the playground to blow off some steam.  And I don’t know if anyone else would be impressed, but L and I were playing with blocks and he neatly lined up the blocks in number order.  B spent the day enjoying more shows.  Of course I like to travel with B and a trip to Chicago would be fun.  However, going to a music festival for 3 days in a row is just not for me.  So it was a perfect guys trip and I don’t think I ever once wished I was there! I made dinner for L and I (no really, I did) and after his bedtime, I watched Big Brother and RHONJ! Another nice night 😉

I have to say that I had a great weekend with L and it was great to not have any commitments. We were able to just stay home and do whatever L wanted.  Of course we missed B, but I certainly love my alone time with L!
