We had a fairly busy weekend around here. Let’s recap!
Friday
I cannot for the life of me tell you what we did on Friday?? I do know I had to take the glucose test in the morning (mmm, delicious) and then moved some stuff around in the nursery. And then we went fishing. L thinks fishing from the balcony is the coolest thing ever. I lower the yarn down, he ties things on and I reel them in. This game could last hours if I let it! Ohh, I also scored a great deal on Pampers at CVS. After coupons and ExtraCare Bucks, I got 3 jumbo packs of diapers and a box of wipes for $15.30! Woot woot! I also scored some deals at 77kids by American Eagle (online). They have a deal going on that is Buy 3, get 30% off and then there was a 20% discount code on top of that! Oh, and shipping was free too. I have bought a few things from there in the past and have been pleased by the quality (and price).
Saturday:
I tested out the quiet time bins while I folded laundry on Saturday morning and they worked like a charm! L seriously loved it and I got all the laundry put away in record time! After seeing my ornament wreath, my mom wanted one too. So we bought a bunch of ornaments at Target after Christmas and I decided this weekend was the time to make it. L and I headed over there for the afternoon and he happily played while I made the wreath. This wreath was WAY easier to make than mine was. Partially because I had already made one before and partially because we sprayed / glued glitter on the styrofoam before I started putting the ornaments on. This left WAY less white space and let me use way less ornaments. My mom and I figured that this wreath cost about $35 when all was said and done?? Not bad at all!
Sunday:
At L’s direction we went grocery shopping on Sunday morning (after playing trains in the basement). On a related note, I cannot believe that everyone doesn’t just use the deli kisoks. You know, the pre-order ones. I know I do. I guess people just like to huddle around the deli counter? We spent the rest of the morning playing and after lunch I talked L into talking a nap. Then he talked me into laying with him and I took a nap with him too. Baxter and Buddy did too! He woke up refreshed and I woke up wishing for a few more hours of sleep. LOL. The weather had gotten a little warmer, so we let L take his car out for a spin (he’s been asking for ages and B finally remembered to charge it). I don’t know what’s more fun, chasing him around the block while he drives his car or crawling on the tile around playing choo-choos???? We also got to dig in the mud for awhile! And after dinner, it was time for another Squishy Baff. While I think it’s gross, L loves it! I did watch Super Bowl too, but wasn’t overly impressed by anything. I would have preferred a Cee Lo halftime show with only an appearance by Madonna, but whatever.
So that was out weekend in a nutshell. What did you do??
Just spent the weekend at the in-laws, blah, blah, blah.
Squishy Baff?! I’ve never heard of such a thing. My husband and I just saw the commercial from your link and all I kept saying was, “That’s gross! I want it! Whaaaa? Get me some!” I’m sure my son would love this but we’ll have to wait until he’s past the put-every-single-thing-I-find-in-my-mouth stage.
