Random Ramblings

I swear these random rambling posts will slow down soon. But these days, stringing together an entire post that makes sense is way harder than it seems.

  • So B has been super into puzzles lately.  Super into them.  He is currently working on a 1000 piece wolf shaped puzzle.   It is SO hard.  He works on it every night after L goes to bed.  I think I have “helped” and put in like 10 pieces. B would like to know where in the world this puzzle came from (it was in our game closet and neither one of us bought it) and wants to talk to the person who picked it out.  LOL.
He looks hot working on puzzles too.
  • Speaking of puzzles, someone else in the house loves them too.  We went out to the “treasure chest” place for dinner the other night and L picked out a 100 piece Sponge Bob puzzle after dinner.  I thought it might be to hard for him, but he showed me.  He did 95% of that puzzle all by himself.  He never gets frustrated.  He clearly gets his patience from someone other than me ;).
Could he be any cuter?
  • Does anyone have any great recipes they want to share?  Something with chicken because that’s pretty much the only thing I feel okay about cooking.  Not for moral reasons or anything.  Just because I can tell when chicken is cooked but not so much for with other meats.
  • I made a trip to Target on Monday “just to look” at the 50% off Easter Clearance at Target.  Of course, just looking meant throwing things in my cart and buying them.  I plan on heading there today (I think it will be 70% off),  “just to look” again.  I am not even sure what it is that I am looking for??
My mini haul.
  • I realized I never posted about my Benefit House Party!  See, I am telling you, pregnancy brain is real.  Anyways, it was a great time and I sent my guests home with lots of great goodies!  And I want to hook you up too!  Leave a comment on here and tell me what your favorite Benefit product is (or which one you would like to try most).  I’ll pick two winners at random and you’ll both get goodie bags too!  The contest will end on 4.19.2012 at 11:59pm EST. Enter to win me!
  • B’s birthday is next week and I want to do something fun for him.  Having the new kid on his birthday would be fun, but I can’t exactly plan on that happening ;).  He got the new iPad a few weeks ago and I gave him a few gift cards I had won a while back and he got some new shoes, so I don’t want to buy him anything else really.  Has anyone come across any cute Pinterest husband present ideas lately???
  • I have gotten away with buying only a small amount of maternity clothes this pregnancy.  I bought two pairs of pants (I still had some from when I was pregnant with L) and I bought a total of three shirts??  I wear lots of open front cardigans, wraps, etc.  And of course, I still wear my Lulu pants, long tank tops and shirts, etc.  Some days as I am picking out clothes I wish I would have bought more stuff so I would have more choices.  But what’s the point now???  It has been a money saver that’s for sure!

(*) House Party / Benefit provided me with products to give to my party guests but they did not require that I host a giveaway. As always, all opinions are my own!

I may have sent that puzzle! We do a lot of puzzles over winter. Bryan and Kelsey did a 1000 piece one in a day when he was home on leave. Like Lucas, his cousins here like to do puzzles also. Must run in our side of the family. It’s nice that now you don’t have to buy a whole maternity wardrobe, as long as belly skin isn’t showing anything you wear is good. I can still picture the yards of cloth in my moms maternity clothes.
