Monthly Subscription Boxes

Disclosure: If you make a purchase through the links posted below, I may receive a small compensation. Read the full disclosure.

Okay, so stupid Birchbox still hasn’t invited me to join (again). As a result, I was forced to explore other avenues. It turns out there are about a million monthly subscription boxes you can get. I have a friend who gets a bunch and I am going to try to talk her into helping me do a post about them all and some reviews! But for now, here’s what I ordered:

Citrus Lane: My monthly subscription box friend recommended Citrus Lane and she would never lead me wrong, so I knew I had to try it. It’s basically a box full of stuff tailored towards kids under 3 years old. You enter in your kid’s birthdate and they handle the rest. Here is how they describe their service on their website: “With Citrus Lane, you get a box every month filled with cute and practical products recommended by real parents. It’s like having your own team of personal shoppers dedicated to finding the best products for your child.”. They have different themes every month (July’s theme is travel) and they don’t let companies “sponsor” what goes in their boxes, which I love. Also, moms get a special treat in each box. It’s $25 a month and I am seriously so excited to get my first box. Well, it’s for W, but whatever.

PopSugar Must Have: I somehow stumbled across PopSugar’s Must Have bag and ordered right away. They just started their service and the first bags will be sent out in July. They describe themselves like this: “Every month, my editorial staff and I will curate an exciting bag full of fun must-have products from fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more. Our customized bag will include tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands you’ve yet to discover.”. They go on to say that the products will be full sized, which is amazing (unless you hate them of course) and carry a retail value of over $150 (the bag is $35/month). I always loved grab bags when I was a kid (i.e. a paper bag filled with surprise items from a cheesy gift shop at some tourist destination), so I think that is why I am super attracted to this subscription. I have NO CLUE what is going to come and I love it!

Wittlebee: Wittlebee is a monthly kids clothing club and was recommended to me by a different friend who had recently signed up. She had already gotten her first box and was totally happy. I figured heck, she has good taste, why not try it?? They let you pick the size of the clothes and the style (preppy, sporty, etc.) and let you specifiy what you are in need of (i.e. onesies, t-shirts, etc.) and let you say what you don’t like (i.e. shirts with sayings, etc.). It’s $39.99/month ($29.99 through my link I believe) and you get clothes with a retail value of $100. W likes clothes and needs fresh stuff (it’s not really fair to make him wear only hand-me-downs is it), so why not try it?

I will be giving reviews as I get my boxes / bags. I love getting mail, so this is more than perfect for me. Do you subscribe to any monthly subscription boxes? If so, which ones?

fda disclosure: If you order through my links I will get a credit from the site. Need me to break it down further? You buy, I get free stuff ;). You get friends to buy from you after you buy from me, you get free stuff.

Spread the love
