~Today marks seven (yes, SEVEN) years since B and I met. I won’t bore you with the story of how we met again (I shared it here last year if you missed it), but I will say that you can meet someone at a bar. While drunk. And have it work out. So get out there all you single ladies and drink up!! Mr. Right could be waiting at the bar.

~L went up-north this weekend and had all sorts of crazy fun. Did he miss us? No. I swear, that kid has a more active social life than I could ever dream about. He hung out with his cousins, went to Call of the Wild, Dinosaur Gardens and pretty much whatever else he wanted. That L, he has it made.

~I was going through / cleaning out some paperwork and found the receipts for the purchases of Baxter and Buddy. Baxter was $499. Worth every penny. He’s the best dog that ever lived. Cute and friendly and lazy and soft and everything I like about dogs. Buddy was $1,239. We I (B was out of town when I picked / bought Buddy) paid over a thousand dollars for a dog. And Buddy is insane.  Insane.  Just a little example at how more expensive is not always better ;).
~I know I mentioned my love for uncommon iPhone cases a while back, but I have found a new love.  Casetagram.  I added a few pictures that I didn’t have on Instagram and made my collage in about 5 minutes.  Now the hard part is waiting for it to arrive.  You know it’s cool when even B wants one.  Oh and you can made iPad cases too.  And probably cases for other non-Apple products.  But honestly, doesn’t everyone have an iPhone?
~Our neighborhood block party was Saturday.  I ended up making Dirt Cake.  B and I joined efforts and made it in like 15 minutes.  A double batch no less.  As I was telling B about my plans, he suggested we just buy something.  No silly, this will be much harder and much more of a mess.  Oh, and B made friends with some new neighbors and drank with them until the wee hours of the night.  I bowed out early because I had to watch the Games / Teen Mom go take care of my baby.  And I’m not sure why, but B still looks good even when he feels bad.  This is him cutting the grass “the morning after”.  Too bad he’s not wearing those green shorts ;).

~We had to pick up something from REI and it just so happens to be very close to the best mall in the area, The Somerset Collection.  We knew W would be down with shopping and it’s always easier to just drag one kid, so we had to run into Lululemon.  We went crazy.  I don’t even know what happened.  And I there were a million strollers in the store.  It was nuts.  Young families love lulu. Oh, and I basically only bought things that were pink, red, grey or black.  Nice variety huh?  And I bought an In-Stride jacket that is maybe one shade different than the one I bought two seasons ago.  And you know what, I decided I needed them both.  I should be shot.

~The Olympic Closing Ceremony was way better than the Opening Ceremony.  And after watching track & field for the last week, I can’t help but think Usain Bolt is the biggest a-hole ever.  I mean I know he’s the fastest man ever.  Super.  But a little humility would get him a long way.  In fact, all those male sprinters might want to learn to be a bit humble.  Did you see them all mugging for the camera before 100m and 200m races?  Oh my.  I have never seen any other athletes do that in any other sport.  WTF?

Spread the love

Happy Anniversary to you and B! I’m a firm believer that you can meet someone ANYWHERE if it is meant to be! Bars included! I met my almost husband at a 50th Birthday Party for a mutual friend’s uncle. Who knew? And I totally went overboard shopping this weekend too… whoops!

I too met my hubby in a bar…and we just celebrated 10 years together last week!

MY kids always marvelled at the giant Brontosaurus you can go inside at Dinosaur Gardens. (Wait correction it isnt a giant brontosaurus…its just regular size for a Brontosaurus.) Anyway, it isn’t so much that you could climb up the steps and be inside of him that intrigues them. But rather what was inside Brontosaurus. Do you know what is inside???? A great big picture of Jesus. Yes that Jesus is everywhere!

Seriously?? B was just asking me what was in them. I’m like I have no idea. I’m not telling him this and letting it be a surprise when we go.
