The September Box (Age: 4 Months)

I was totally shocked to receive my Citrus Lane box so early this month. I got the shipping notification on Friday. And it arrived Saturday. Now that’s how it’s done!

I woud like all you green people to know I reuse these boxes to ship things.
It arrived so early this month!!

I usually go right for the stuff, but for some reason I looked at the information card first. And I was totally sad there were only 4 things in the box ;(. I want to see a totally full info sheet!

The info sheet.

As you know, WB is 4 months and they tailor the boxes based on the age of the child, so if you have a two year old, you will get a totally different box. On to the contents:

miYim Knit Teether ($12): I have never seen a knit teether.  To be honest, I have never looked for one either though.  I think this may be WB’s new BFF.  He loves to shove things in his mouth, but isn’t a fan of the normal plastic teethers.  He’d rather suck on a blanket. So this is perfect.  We got the monkey, but there are lots of other animals on their site.

Rich Frog K’NIT Block($12.95):  I’m not sure how else to describe this than it’s a soft block with a rattle in the middle. We got the Owl, but there are a bunch of different options. This isn’t fancy, it’s just a toy that WB will love.  It’s machine washable and looks like someone actually made it.  You know what I mean.  It’s not the usual super bright baby rattle you usually see.  I already gave this to WB and it’s already covered in drool ;).

Petite Lemon Alphabet Print ($10): I am totally guessing the value of this because it’s not a size they sell on their site. Happily, this fits in with the theme / colors of WB’s room so I am just going to throw it in a frame and put it on a shelf. However, I can see that not everyone would be able to actually use this item and would be annoyed it was included in the box. I too would have preferred an actual product, but what can you do?

CleanWell Disinfectant Spray ($4.50): I’ll admit it, I am not as worried about germs as a lot of moms out there.  But even I find things that I want to disinfect.  I already threw this in my diaper bag and will probably run out of it before I know it!

I’d say that the Citrus Lane boxes have been my favorite of all the boxes I have received the past few months, but that probably won’t be the case this month. While I did enjoy the box this month, I didn’t love it as much as the previous months. My expectations are probably a little too high. You can’t hit a home run every time! Regardless, the contents totaled $39.45, which is way more than the $25/monthly charge. Even if you don’t include the print, you are still ahead! I think an animal board board of some sort would have rounded this box out perfectly though.
