~L has his first ever field trip today. I don’t know who is more excited, L or myself. And, what’s even better is that B has the day off (thank you very much Christopher Columbus) so he gets to come too.
~I mentioned in my September BabbaBox Review how much I loved one of the projects (the Impressionist Masterpiece) and how I wanted to steal it and do it myself. Well I posted the link to my review on their Facebook wall (they are very active on there) and guess what? They sent me another project. It was totally surprised to get a package from them (I couldn’t figure out what the heck it was) and even more surprised when I opened it and found the kit inside. Pretty sure I love them even more now. And I am super excited about doing this project all by myself. Eeek!!!!
~While at the cider mill over the weekend with my brother and SIL, we ran into L’s BFF from daycare. I’m not sure L knew what to make of it, but I was excited to see him and his mom! We plan on crashing his daycare’s annual Halloween party so we are going to get to see them again soon.
~As I type this, WB is sleeping on my chest. What in the world am I going to do when he stops snuggling like this? It makes me sad just thinking about it. Clearly I need to have another one. Or get a puppy. SOMETHING.
~Although it’s a year away, I am totally dreading getting L up and ready for school everyday. I cannot tell you the last time I had to be somewhere on time every day. Don’t get me wrong, I can get to appointments and things like that on time. No matter how early they are. But school? Every day? On time? Ouch. And no, I never got to work “on time”. No one cared if I got there at 8am (this happened maybe 10 times in umm, the 12 years I worked there), 8:30am, 8:45am or cough, cough, 9:15am. I got my work done and put in my time at night and on the weekends and I was good. But we have to be on time (and fed) every.single.day. I need to start practicing. And yeah, I realize this not an actual problem.
~I mentioned it previously, but I am started to work through my sample hoard. Every week, I am challenging myself to use five products from the stash. This week I am using Shu Uemura Art of Hair shampoo and conditioner from my August Birchbox, the Sedu Anti-Frizz Polishing Treatment from my September Birchbox, a random Eucerin hand lotion free sample, the Skin Free Sleep Tight Pillow Spritz from my August bluum box, and the Osmotics Cosmeceuticals Blue Copper 5 Firming Elasticity Repair, also from my August Birchbox. It’s kind of fun to dive into the stash and find something to try out!
~And speaking of challenges, Shannon over at Life After I Dew is doing a 31 Days of Being a Better Wife Challenge. I mentioned this to B and he was all, you should totally do that. Ha! Not happening. I’m pretty sure if I actually make extra efforts to be a better wife he’d think I was having an affair. Besides, I’m not the one that got to take a two hour afternoon nap yesterday (while everyone else in the house was awake). What? Should I encourage him to take a four hour nap?? BAHAHA! But I have to say that I am enjoying following Shannon along! Keep up the good work!
