Somehow my November Citrus Lane box arrived before I even got a shipment notification for it. I LOVE when that happens. This month’s theme was “fun with food” and I have to say, Citrus Lane did an amazing job sticking with the theme this month. This is the first month I think I can honestly say that every single item fit in with the theme.
I think since Citrus Lane boxes are on the larger size, it’s hard for them to pack a neat box. I am guessing it starts out neat and then just gets all messed up in transit. I do appreciate that they do not waste packaging material to try and “fill” out the box.
This box is for a 7-month old boy. I have mentioned it before, but Citrus Lane boxes are selected for you based on the age of your child. Your 2.5 year-old will not get what my 7-month old did. I have included some items that were included in other November boxes at the end of this post!
And here are the details:
Banana Fruit & Veggie Toy by Under the Nile ($8): WB is going to love this. I know as soon as I hand it over, he’s going to shove it right in his mouth. And since it’s made from certified organic cotton and “baby-friendly” construction, it’s totally fine. The idea is that this toy will start out as a teething toy and will be used in a shopping cart later one. Loves it.
Green Eats Set of Four Snack Bowls ($6.99): We have lots of bowls around here, but none like this. They are made from recycled milk cartons (seriously they are) and are (obviously) BPA free. These are perfect not just for WB, but for L too! And I’ll admit it, I use the kids bowls sometimes too.
Goodbyn Snack Containers ($5.49): Now that WB is eating snacky foods these will be perfect to use to carry his stuff when we are out and about. Sure I could use a plastic bag, but his snacks would get crushed in my bag in about two seconds. And of course, these are also BPA free.
Boon Spoon and Plum Organics Just Fruits Pouch ($5.49): If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know I am obsessed with these Boon spoons. I was super excited to get more though since, umm, we’ve already lost some (where do these things go anyways). We have moved out of stage 1 pouch foods and prefer stage 2, but WB will eat this no problem.
Juice Beauty Nutrient Moisturizer (A special treat for mom) ($9): This is supposed to bring back the “pregnancy glow”, but since I spent much of my time pregnant trying not to throw up, hopefully this just makes my skin look good!
All totaled, my box was worth $34.97. It also included a coupon for 20% off Tiny Prints, but since you have to buy something to get that deal, I don’t consider it to add any value to the box. And now, as promised, here are some variations from this month’s boxes based on ages:
Thinking about signing up? Click here and get it done. And if you are already a subscriber, what’d you get this month? And what’d you think? Did you love it as much as we did?
This was my first month getting a box. Since baby isn’t due yet for a few months I guess I got a newborn box. We got th Under the Nile toy but it was a green bean instead of banana. Also got the bowls in an adorable green color, a red snack box, and the lotion for mama. No food pouch or spoon but I did get two teeny tiny squares of chocolate for myself. Loved the box! Also got my Ipsy bag today!!!!!
Mason had some of the Under the Nile Fruits and Vegetables and loved them! I can’t wait for Nathaniel to start playing with them. I might get him some more for his Christmas stocking. I go the boys lots of the Green Eats tableware. They are very durable. We use the stuff all the time over here.
I got a lot of the same stuff in my box but I recieved Puff from Plum (so I am bummed that I didn’t get the spoon) and I do love the bowls and toy (we got grapes…love it). I am looking forward to next month to see what else Jack will be getting. If you would like I can send you pics of what we get to add to your blog if you’d like.
Kristy, yes send pictures! And maybe someone will put some spoons in the PopSugar box you won???
Okay… I’ve been avidly reading subscription box reviews for like a year, first trying to decide which one I want (got the Green Grab Bag and love it!) and now I guess just window-shopping… and this is honestly the best one I’ve seen yet. I can’t stop thinking about how great it would be to get for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and my friends with little ones and and and…! Better rein myself in 🙂
I just signed up!
I’ve been reading your reviews and decided to get a box for my 17 month old baby girl since I got a coupon code for half off. The first box arrived today. It came with a play pot and 2 cooking spoons, one skip hop plate, 2 reusable small snack bags, one annies cheddar bunnies crackers trial size and one lip balm for mommy.
Baby loved the pot/spoons but I am glad it was half off because I am not sure the box would be worth 25.00
That sounds like a cute box! I wonder what will be in my box (It’s still on it’s way).
