November Nature Box

The folks over at NatureBox asked me if I’d be interested in reviewing one of their boxes and of course, I jumped at the chance. NatureBox costs $19.95/month and includes a selection of “nutritionist-approved snacks that taste great”. You can select items from their shop to be included in your box or you can opt for the discovery box.  And for every box sent out, NatureBox donates a meal to feed one of the millions of American children who go hungry every day.

This months’s box theme was “Healthy Holiday” and included snacks that (per the information card) are perfect for sharing with guests, put out at a gathering or carry with you for a quick fix while traveling or shopping.

First Look

Now let’s get to the good part. Here’s what was in this month’s box:

The Information Card

And the details. Oh and I should mention that I had everyone in the family (except WB of course) try everything so we could get a variety of opinions!

~Roasted Garlic Pumpkin Seeds: These are delicious. We never got around to making pumpkin seeds this year, so I was excited to try these. And they did not disappoint. These were way better than anything we could have made. Everyone loved them.

Roasted Garlic Pumpkin Seeds

~Chipotle Maple Almonds: B and I loved really liked these, but I was glad I had a drink nearby. They were so spicy. That’s coming from someone who can barely handle mild salsa though, so take that into account!

Chipotle Maple Almonds

~Carrot Chips: I think this was the only item we were kind of meh about. They weren’t good. Or bad. They were just there. If eaten alone, they need a little more flavor. But I think they’d be perfect with some sort of dip or spread.

Carrot Chips

~Country Ranch Peas: Okay we saw these and we like no way are these going to be good. Because when you think of peas you think about cooked mushy peas right? Wrong. These are crunchy and had just the perfect amount of ranch flavoring on them. These were totally our favorite. Totally. If you put these out at a party, they would be GONE in like two minutes. They are that good.

Country Ranch Peas

~Cinnamon Spiced Granola: I wasn’t expecting to love this granola, but it was really really good. L loved it and I am going to start topping his yogurt with this. I can also see just snacking on this while watching Breaking Bad ;).

Cinnamon Spice Granola

To be honest, when I got this box and saw what was inside I got scared and starting thinking about how on earth I was even going to be able to do a review.  And then we give it a TRY and found out that it was all really really good!!

I think NatureBox would make an amazing holiday gift.  Every holiday season we’d sit around the office and try and figure out what unique gifts to give to clients for the holidays.  And then we’d send (and receive) the same old gift baskets.  But something like this would be awesome because you could give a year long subscription so the gifts would just keep coming!  Trust me, office kitchens are full of delicious snacks in December.  But the rest of the year? Not so much.

But, if you want to try it just for you, today is your lucky day because if you use the code “ADDICTION” at NatureBox, you can try a box for 30% off!   Seriously, what have you got to lose by giving it a try?

Disclosure: I was sent this box to review by NatureBox. No compensation was received. Other than snacks ;). As always, all opinions are my own.
