~I hope everyone had a great weekend and checked a lot of holiday chores AND fun off your “To-Do” list. We got our tree up, did some shopping and just hung out. I think this was the first year L was actually helpful decorating the tree. In previous years, he was just “helpful” if you know what I mean ;). But this year he was excited to see all the ornaments, hang them on the tree and discuss them all, etc. And he doesn’t clump them all together and isn’t all clumsy (like me). He’s so got the Christmas spirit and it’s fun to watch! And can I just say how much I love to have the house decorated? All those twinkling lights everywhere, the bright colors, it’s just nice. WB was all crabby the other night and as soon as I took him out of his room and he saw the tree we have upstairs, the tears stopped and the biggest smile came across his face ;). So we just sat in our big comfy chairs and snuggled and looked at the tree while everyone else slept. It was so nice.

The tree.

~OMG, can we talk about Homeland for a minute? Does anyone else watch? B and I are are totally caught up and watched last night’s episode along with everyone else. This show has me so hooked. What’s going to happen? Is Brody still on Nazir’s side? Is he playing Carrie? Are they both in on it together? What’s going on with Saul? So many questions. So many theories. No answers.

~My SS has informed me that my gift is arriving TODAY. I swear, participating in a secret gift exchange is the best. We use elfster to run the drawings and it’s just fun. You can ask anyomous questions, browse through people’s lists, etc. I sent out my SS gift last week and I don’t want to give away any details because I am not sure if she reads here, but I can tell you that I had a lot of fun shopping and wrapping and getting everything together! And umm, trying to fit everything perfectly in a box was quite the puzzle.  I can only hope that she enjoys the gifts as much as I enjoyed picking them out. Does anyone participate in a secret santa exchange (I think I asked this before but no one responded)? I know there are tons of them out there – my SIL even participates in one on the sweepstakes website we love so much!  But would anyone be interested in one next year? Think about it. We’ll talk about it again in like July. 😉

My gift from last year’s exchange. And umm, I am still working on that book 😉

~Just in case you don’t read here on the weekends (how dare you not come here every single day though – jk), I am attached links to my Baby and Pre-Schooler gift guides.  I am pretty proud of my new collages, so if you don’t like them, don’t tell me they suck until after my giveaway is over because you probably won’t win.  My gift guides are pretty much just what my kids are getting this year.  I can only do what I know.  I have a “Her” gift guide coming up later today and a “His” scheduled for tomorrow.  But that’s all I’ve got.  Unless, of course, you beg me to make another one.  HA.

~I have been working like crazy to get my Monthly Subscription Box List all organized and have kind of realized it’s just long.  I don’t even know where to begin to really organize it.  Any ideas?  Should I do a collage of pictures above each of the sections?  Sometimes too many words (like this blog post for example) get boring and pictures just make it better.  Thoughts?

~And now it’s your turn.  What’d you do this weekend?  Did you brave the malls?  Get your tree up?  Begin the Hanukkah(*) celebrations? Watch Homeland? Anything else you want to ramble about?  Let’s hear it!

(*) Can someone tell me the difference between Hanukkah and Chanukah? Just a different translation? Do you intermix the names? Forgive me if I sound dumb, but I am curious!  I tried to GTS, but didn’t come up with anything overly helpful!

Spread the love
