February’s Birchbox Man is focused on helping you get through this month (which is no walk in the park) “with poise and some panache”. It’s all about surviving in style according to them and I have to say, I agree.
B received Box #1 this month, which I thought was a great box. Unlike last month when there were 16 different box options, this month only had 10. And all the boxes this month had the same two “big items”, which I also was happy with because there was no box jealously!
Here’s what was inside:
And the details:
~Birchbox Shoehorn ($18): Hmm, a shoehorn. I have not seen a shoehorn since I was a little kid and like my grandpa had one. I think it was metal? It’s possible he even made it himself? But what do I know? I am positive that B has never owned a shoehorn (unless they issue them in the Army?), but will certainly give this a go.
~Jack Robie Solid Pocket Square ($25): I kinda love this and so does B. I was SO excited that he got purple and not blue. I would have been happy with pink too. If you are going to rock a pocket square, might as well make it stand out. I cannot wait until the next event that we have to attend that will require a suit. Seriously. He’s going to look HOT and I will of course, post pictures. Maybe I will try and talk him into modeling it for me this weekend? Watch out Scott Disick, watch out.
~ZIRH REVERSE™ Anti-Aging Serum($6.47): I am a total sucker for this ribbon design in this product. You can’t see it in the sample, but the full size is SO cool. I might order a big one of these for B for Valentine’s Day. He’s going to love it!
~PETER THOMAS ROTH Mega-Rich™ Body Wash($2.12): I am kinda wishing they had a female version of this stuff. It sounds great. It’s got Vitamin B5 that conditions and moisturizes the skin, while vitamins A, C, and E work together to fend off free radical damage. Sounds pretty great right?
~Niche For Men Male Deodorizing Wipes ($3): Sometimes B will go workout or go on a run or something and then will want to run errands or do something after. And not be all stinky he when he does it. He’ll be down to give these a try. And I will certainly let him him know if they work!
~Victorinox Swiss Army Forest Eau de Toilette ($.20): I don’t love this, but I don’t hate it either. The packaging certainly is interesting. It’s not a normal cologne sample. Somehow you pull up on the cardboard and it sprays out. But what I found most interesting was this tip on Birchbox’s page: “If you have dry skin, you can afford to be a bit more generous with this cologne. When in doubt, use sparingly.” I honestly had no idea and I doubt many men do either.
All totaled, this month’s Birchbox had a value of $54.79 (NOT including points for doing reviews and purchasing the box itself – which would bring the value up to $62.79), which was, as always, way more than the $20 price tag. We totally love Birchbox Man and B looks forward to receiving this box every month! And seriously, B would have never bought a pocked square on his own, so this was a super fun box!
If you (or your man) subscribe to Birchbox what’d you think of this month? And if you don’t subscribe, click here to sign-up!
I hope you get a cane in next month’s birchbox man. Then B can use the cane to press buttons on elevators and block strangers on the street from being near you just like Scott Disick did for Kourtney.
How do you find out which boxes there are?
I sampled the Peter Thomas Roth shower gel while on vacation in London. I have been hooked on that product since! I think it could be for men or women.
