Edited to Add: Goodies Co. has discontinued their subscription service.
The January Goodies Co. box theme was “New Year New You” and is “loaded with a scrumptious selection of sensible foods to enjoy while you’re living life on-the-go”. I never peek at the Goodies Co. boxes in advance, so it’s always a fun surprise to see what’s inside.
Goodies Co. always has fun patterned boxes and matching cards / shredded paper in their boxes. I should mention that Goodies Co. has different boxes based on the preferences in your profile. I got Box 4 this month.
The information card is nice and big, which is great because some of them are so small that I can barely read them.
Here’s what was inside:
~Nature’s Bakery Whole Wheat Fig Bar: All I can think about when I hear fig in the name of something is fig newtons. I hope these are similar because I really like fig newtons and haven’t had them in forever.
~Stretch Island Fruit Chews: These have L’s name written all over them. I am going to surprise him with them in his next muffin tin meal! I hope he loves them because I think they are a way better alternative than his favorite Scooby Doo fruit snacks.
~Go Nola: This is a perfect snack for B to take to work / school with him. He usually eats Bear Naked granola, but he’s all about trying different stuff, so he’ll love this sample.
~Skeeter Snacks Cookie: I think I have tried these before, but I can’t remember if I like them or not? I must not have hated them or I know I would remember.
~Wild Garden Traditional Hummus and Pita Chips: OMG, I am so excited about this. What a perfect little healthy snack pack. B is going to love this for this lunch tomorrow! And I might have to buy some for L and I to to snack on the go.
~Cascal: This looks….interesting. It’s described on the card as a “natural soda” and it’s health benefits have been known “to include detoxification and boosting energy levels”. I’m going to wait till this weekend till B’s home to give it a try because I am a little scared of it ;).
~Flamous Brands Falafel – Original: Again I think this is a going to be a good lunch item for B. It’s hard to find good tasting, healthy chips and I hope these are going to be just that. I’ve actually never heard of Falafel chips before, but they sound good!
While this wasn’t my favorite Goodies Co. box (nothing can compare to those chocolate mint cookie thins from last month), it certain is worth the $7 that this box costs!
Goodies Co. boxes are $7/month (no really, they are only $7) and include “5-8 delicious new foods hand-picked and delivered directly to your doorstep”. Sounds good right? If you are interested in signing up, click here to get on the waiting list.
